My Girlfriend

[Lost and need help pls]

My Girlfriend has told me that she doesn't want to go out with me any more because she thinks she still has feelings for a old boyfriend and doesn't feel it's fair on me to carry on the relationship if she is going to have feelings for him. He has remained one of her best friends they split up over 2 years ago and since then she has had another boyfriend for 2 years before meeting me.
We have been going out for 3 months, she says she is still in love with me, but the other weekend she went out for her old boyfriends birthday and at the end of the night they were talking about her granddad who has just passed a month ago, and seemed to get some feelings for her old boyfriend again. It has all seemed to happen in one evening I have asked her if she has cheated on me and she said no and she is not a good liar so I do believe her.
I am still very much in love with her and would like to find so help please am I chasing a lost course or not?
She said she doesn't want to get back with her old boyfriend because she will feel like she wants to be with me & doesn't want to stay with me, as she will feel like she wants to be with him.
I don't know whether she is confusing her feelings as she is still grieving for her granddad or not, or whether she just wanted to end our relationship. Please help is this a classic line that women use to finish things, like a man would say it's not you it's me type of thing. I do believe she still loves me but could use some advice.
