My husand and I love each other to bits and we have a great relationship with the rest of his family. My husband went to a retirement do a few weeks ago and his brother who I have known for years longer than my husband came around. There has never been anything between us because if we had fancied each other we would have had the chance to go out before I got with my husband.

Anyway we always have loads of drink in and of every sort we dont normally drink in the house but we do have it in for people who come to visit which is quiet regular.

We I asked if he wanted a drink and he said yes and asked me if I would join him for one, so I agreed. We talked and talked for England and we drank and we drank again for England, he stood up and his legs went well I just fell about laughing until I tried to help him up well I just fell over to. The two of us were in a drunken heap on the floor and couldnt stop laughing. We started kissing I dont know how but we did and the next minute we are making love in out lounge. After we had finished we both just looked at each other, I staggered off to the loo and was a sick as a dog he got up and I asked him to go. I cried and cried cause I do love my husband I dont know what came over me I dont even fancy him. Now the thing is it has made life very uncomfortable when he comes around to see my husband I just cant look at him I dont know what to say. neither of us have ever mentioned the night and I hope it never ever comes out but I feel so ashamed and guilty what can I do to make this horrible feeling go away. Sad

You are human. This is one of those 'life events'. You got carried away and lost yourself in the moment. Now you are back down on earth after flying for a moment.

Forgive yourself, for your momentary lapse. Forgive him for his. Keep this a your secret or throw yourself on the mercy of your husband. Does he love you as much as you love him? If so, he will understand and see you in a sexier light. Talk to the brother and let him know this was a one off. He will understand too. It was probably as embarrassing for him too to suddenly forget himself. If you decide to keep it a secret, the brother will have to too. Does he get pissed often? Can you trust him not to let it out someday?

Try a little insurance. Write a letter to your husband. Date it. Tell all - and how much you love him and how guilty you feel. Keep it safe against the day he finds out and you can show it to him.

But don't do a 'Bridges of Madison County' on him. That would be a disaster.
