wow, what a thread....here goes. I was raised by my grandparents, who at many a times described the past, including chivalry and loyalty amongst men and women and relationships. Ive been thru my share of dating and lost love. in comparing stories from the past to what ive experienced Ive come to a believe that we lost touch with family, and most importantly love, when women became more liberated. Now I dont mean any disrespect, but the liberation of women caused a ripple in society. no longer was she the base of a good structured family, but more the competitive counterpart to men. who makes more, is your man insecure, etc... now if a man needs support in a relationship he lacks confidence. when a man fails, he lacks motivation. we cant be down and out, we cant fail. Not only have people, in general, gotten lazy, but we have all been given to many choices, easy ones at that. The choice to divorce is a trend now, unfortunatly a trend thats broken the idea of family and relationship.
