It's a glitch in the system. I found out the hard way too.
Because live chat is in Flash format, we have to click the inconspicuous little log out button near the top of the window; rather than just closing the window like normal. I'm not sure how long it takes to reset from your name being inactive, but I tried live chat a couple of months back when it changed to the new Flash format, and apparently I still showed up as being in there a couple of hours after I had shut down my computer and gone to bed.
Perhaps sending a private message to one of the moderators could help. They're listed as the authors of the first few "Sticky" topics in Member's Chat.  |
