negative pregnancy test

i took a pregnancy test and it came up negative. the only thing is that im still getting extreme lightheadedness and still havent gotten my period yet. i am now one week and 2 days late. i also went off the pill on december 30th. could this be other reasons or could i be pregnant? i was stressed out before but nothing is causing stress at the moment that i am aware of or notice. any feedback would be greatly appreciated. my boyfriend has completely supported me so far but i still get a gut feeling that i might be.

Well you possibly could be, when was the date of your last period and how long is ur cycle usually? I also wasted money oon tests got negative on 4.

Maybe you shoudl go to your Doctors if your not sure.

i stopped taking the pill on the 30th of december and my last period was on february 3rd. it lasted about 5 days. im not sure if i might be fluctuating because i am off the pill and my system is still getting used to it (i was on it for 5 1/2 years) because i had read that it takes 30 days to wear off (i would assume longer since i was on it for a great period of time).

and how long is ur cycle though? 28 days? You see depending on howl ong ur cycle is this will say how far along you are and sometimes your not as far as you think hence negative testresult.

Hi if you have a 34 cycle you wuold be 6 weeks and feeling it by now and you would be testing positive - best bet to just go to Doctor

You'd of have symptoms by now and would be feelingit, you shoudl go to doctor really - no way of saying for sure but if you WERE you would be baout 6 weeks

Help, I am perplexed. I have been experiencing nausea and vomitting in the mornings mostly. Sounds like pregnancy? Feels like pregnancy (I have 2 children ). Yet periods are regular and pregnancy tests negative but there are times I would have sworn that is what it was. This has been going on for 2 and a half months. My stomach feels normal , my skin is bad I'm tired and noticing smells a lot. Been to GP and because I told him pregnancy tests were neg he put it down to bugs going around ( a very off on bug in my opinion). Can anyone advise?

I came off the pill about a month ago. I have not yet had a period. My stomach feels bloated, I keep getting funny feelings in the pit of my stomach, have felt sick and am shattered. I did one pregnancy test which was negative, but I did it too early. The one i did this morning was also negative. When does it start to show if you are pregnant? I really feel like i could be pregnant

can anyone offer some advice. i am worried i may be pregnant i am 4 weeks late and suffering form extream tiredness. i litreally cant stay awake. i was on the pill but my period never came so i havent gone back on it yet. i have done a test and it came back negative but i didnt have any symptoms with my daughter and am really worried i could be.

im new to this - but im also in the same boat as some of u on here. I came off the pill on 20th feb 2008, had a period on 25th feb, then started trying for a baby on 13th march, and since then i have not had another period. i have done 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative! im not sure what to think or feel anymore, as alot of info on the internet seems to contradict eachother!

I hope i am pregnant, but somehow feel that there is probably something else wrong with me!

sounds familiar. I came off the pill early March, and had a period as usual. I was due to come on my period on saturday (12th April) but nothing yet and its now tuesday - i felt a bit pre-menstrual last friday (moody) but nothing since. I have been feeling nauseous on and off for the past 2 weeks also. I took a pregnancy test yesterday but it showed negative. we really want a baby and i thought deep down i couldnt get pregnant so quick but why am i feeling like this and where is my period??? any ideas anyone???

the only way to know for sure is to test again 2 weeks after testing negative, or to get a blood test.
