Colonel:

Reading back, about a year ago only one of your four sons had his ear pierced, whereas now all four of them have had it done.

So I reckon you didn't realize at that time that all four of them would want it.

It's kind of now for them become the basic, 'default' piercing for them all to have, I guess, whatever else they might eventually do as well.

They are healing fine, and yes, it does suit them very much. I think my mother has even been brought round to the idea.

They most certainly will not be getting anything else.

While they still live at home - I will not allow it.

I shouldn't think they will somehow either. They all will be in professional jobs.

I think everyone here who is should stop giving the_Colonel a hard time with his sons. Whether its asking the sons to get more or him to get an earring, I think it should just stop because we all know its not gonna happen

I don't understand why these people do it as a matter of fact.

It is not something I would like or do myself, but I am not opposed to the more moderate among them. I do dislike people covered in them though.

Interesting how things have changed, though. I got both my ears multiply pierced over twenty years ago, and only occasionally wore an earring to work. A couple years ago, the VP I report to left and his replacement is a late 40's guy with an earring. So, even in middle management of a pretty large IT division, I feel comfortable wearing earrings. Sometimes zero, sometimes up to five or six. I've gotten nothing but complements. About half the guys who work for me wear earrings, too. (Only one of them wears more than one.)

Four left lobe, three right lobe, three left cartilage, one right cartilage. So, eleven total.

And the surprising part is, I'm a "snappy" dresser, usually wearing either a suit, or dress pants with tie (often bow tie) and/or suspenders (no clip-ons, please). But today, I wore shorts, an extremely loud Hawaiian shirt, and two black hoop earrings and two black studs in my lobes and a black hoop in a left cartilage hole. I never, ever wear the same earrings two days in a row.

Dunno where this "tasQrenz forces" thing came from in my last message, just call me tas. Tomorrow, it's three CBRs in the left lobe, two in the right, and one in each cartilage. A CZ stud in each lobe will make make nine total. Meeting with the VP, so I gotta suck up. :D :D Since it'll be cooler, a blue seersucker suit with suspenders and bow tie.

Colonel,

People are giving you a hard time because of all the criticisms you have made about other people.
