Good looking young guys love the challenge of trying to chat-up an older married women. If they bed them great, if not its fun trying.
Maybe you should try just having a joke with him.

Well I think so. She's tall, long blonde hair, 35 yrs old.
Anyhow we do allow each other some freedom. About once a fortnight she goes clubbing with the girls till very late and another night, I go out with the lads. We never quiz each other, I've never done anything and I hope she hasn't.
So for the moment, I'm going to stay cool on this one.

Don't know about you, but who actually lets someone say this about their girlfriend/wife when you don't even know them...? If I were in your position, my response would've been "the hell you will if you still want to walk". Get some balls man and speak up.

He is so arrogant and rude. If a female interior decorator said something like this to me about my hubby, I would give her a piece of my mind and if I felt that was not enough, I would complain to her boss.

It perhaps wasn't as cold as it sounds. The guy was more cheeky than arrogant or rude. Had he been ugly, I would have just laughed. It's just that he is very good looking, and my wife clearly fancies him.

Latest thing is that the guy has invited both of us to a party on Saturday night.
My wife's keen to go and we have babysitters, but I don't know. Don't I could stand seeing him trying to chat her up all night.
Maybe best to just let her go on her own and trust her

If this is for real, then you handle a contractor by making him redo a lot of work. You take him around the job and point out a ton of S*** you feel is done incorrectly, and that you will not pay for shoddy work. Report him to the Building and Safety people in charge of contractor licenses, let them occupy him. Get inspectors out and order them to find fault, and make this f*****s life miserable. He will be so tied up in legal red tape, he will want away from you and your home really quickly. While you do all this, find out his physical address, and send a bill for materials squandered. Hit assholes like this where it counts. He is a building contractor, therefore, money is the be all and end all for him. You hit him hard enough in the bank book, he will lose interest in the wife! In the meantime, you might also try sabotaging some of his work, and pointing out the "poor quality of workmanship" he is giving to justify firing his ass, and giving all kinds of bad word of mouth around town. Let him work harder to get his next job by answering allegations of wrongdoing and unethical behavior.
