I like the French, they think enjoying life is important and they have their priorities right – if anyone threatened to shell Edinburgh I’d surrender and in a couple of years they’d be buying so much whisky and Scotch beef I’d own them.

In terms of loving life, I'll take the Italians or the Spanish or the Greeks or the Portugese or the Brazilians or the Argentinians, over the French any day. |
