In brief reply to ToG, a Mormon immigrant to the UK (presumably from the United States) would be ineligible to receive the additional welfare benefits the UK will provide to qualified polygamists for each wife.

Bigamy is illegal in the United States (and was proscribed by the Mormon Church decades ago).

The UK's preferential exception to the legal proscription against bigamy applies only to polygamists who were married in a country where polygamy is legal.

Polygamy is legal and widely practiced in most Muslim countries, including the Muslim countries which are the chief source of immigrants to the UK (e.g., Pakistan, Bangladesh).

Consequently, it is fair to say that "the outcome will chiefly benefit Muslim men."
