I had some graphic problems with some games and I did not could find out how to solve this, so I brought my pc to the shop where I got all my components from and there they checked it and they said some windows driver was the problem.
The solucion they gave me was to do a new install of windows and install all drivers again. This would mean I would lose all my data I had on my hd so I bought an new hd installed it as master and my current hd as slave.

Made a new windows instalation on the new hd and when windows was doing all the updates
I saw between the 120 updates that 1 said error instead of done of all other steps of the updates.

How can I check this error or does windows fix this with the updates after?

Windows update is a pretty complex piece of kit - it has to be to deal with the zillions of permutations of the kit and installations that it may come into contact with.

Let it do the ones it can and then instead of letting the windows update automatic installation run, use the website. Once you've run that and installed the updates go back and check again until the site says you're clear... Really if the shop did the re-install they should never have let it go without patching it. Sometimes the later updates fix or override it completely (ie you may not need to install it at all later).

Oh, and secure your machine before you do to much as well - now is the best time. Go to getsafeonline.org.uk Smile

Mono we have had some run ins in the past but having read many of the posts in this section I have to say that your advice has been invaluable to me and improved my knowledge to the degree that I am now only Technically slow as opposed to Technically retarded.

Thank you

you were given bad advice from the shop
the problem was Microsoft's Graphics driver . it is OpenGl DISABLED by Microsoft
all you needed to do was download the driver from your cards site ( ATI or Nvidia ) uninstall the Windows disabled/mangled/gl-killed , piece of junk and install the REAL one
and spend 0 cash NO $$$ to do it
