Am/was I pregnant?

Right, I know this is going to sound weird but Im just so confused.
I had unprotected sex a week ago, but I had only just came off my period. Ive felt sick for a week now but last night I had really bad stomach cramps and couldnt sleep. All day today I've had similar pains and very heavy bleeding, but its not like a normal period. Could I be pregnant or what is happening?
