Hi Everyone,
After a couple of dates, and you don't want to have a any sort of relationship, what is the best way to knock it on the head?
Is ignoring calls ok, how would that make you feel? should I ignore e-mails?
what about texts.
What is the best way to say, no thanks? |

| ignoring calls sucks. Leaves the other person in limbo. Why not just admit that you didn't feel any chemistry? It is still too early in the relationship for any real bonds to have formed. . . |

the problem is that there is often chemistry, but you are just not suited (cos hes a dick head) I always want to be honest, but I can't tell him he freaks me out! And it is just to early and there is no really need for an explanation.
Is it ok to just say "sorry I don't want to go out on a date again" that just seams lame..
I have been ignored, and I am fine with that. |

| he doesn't have to know that you felt there was chemistry and I find this to be the best "general" out option in the beginning stages of a relationship. |

lol he felt it too, or he would not be on the case. He is a clever guy I would not want to insult him with a general option. This was said to a male mate of mine and it left him confused, and more hurt.
I would like to chat as mates, because we will bump into each other.
I don't want to tell the truth and I don't want to lie either, saying nothing is still looking like the best option.
could be thinking about this too much |

I agree with Ruth. Honesty and frankness wins and gets it over. This isn't me that you are talking about, is it? If so, just take off your clothes and seal the deal! |

Shouldn't you be out shagging the HO in your office to further spit in your wife and children's face? |

you dont have to lie or tell the whole truth.
'i dont want bad feeling (which actually you have no control over anyway, he'll react how he reacts) but i dont wanna see you anymore. i cant explain it any further other than to say i cant see any furture with this so im knocking it on the head now, im sorry' or words to that effect.
After only a few dates you dont actually owe him anything more. You dont owe him any less either - especially if you'll probably bump into him. Just tell him and get it over with. |
