what are the parameters of this nomination? Because, technically, I could just declare that I myself am a band and be officially the worst band in the world, considering I have NEVER done music in any fashion.
or are we talking about real bands that actually has a fanbase? |

| perhaps the truly worst band that ever recorded was a girlband from the american 60's called The Shaggs. they were three sisters from the Wiggins family. they have been called genius primitives by the likes of Frank Zappa amongst others. now, i like ol' FZ just fine but.....the boy's on another wavelength on this one. wretched excess, exuberently done. for the terminally curious, their record surfaces periodically on CD. it's called: Philosophy of the World. |

| I've never been much of a fan of the Beatles, or Elvis, for that matter. Having a roommate that played Eagles albums incessantly for 2 semesters didn't endear me to them either. The absolute worst band I have ever been forced to listen to, though, wold have to be...Godsmack. |

I think we stick to bands that have a fan base and are well over hyped. |

Depends on your definition. If you define 'band' as a collection of people standing together making a noise then you can include Aqua, Westlife, The Nolan Sisters, Wet Wet Wet etc. What a choice!
If you use 'band' in the commonly accepted and perceived sense of the work then you're down to bands which have disappointed and underachieved. Embrace wouldn't recognise a rock track if it hit them face on. Transvision Vamp were pretty awful. Linkin Park are just dull. As for St Winifreds School Choir......................... |
