Yes, she loves them! She got used to them quickly and they have not been off since. I just finished soldering the clasps and the hinges closed so they are now permanent. We are going to start looking for some matching bracelets.

Just wanted to say hello to the people concerned with this very interesting thread regarding permanent, non-removable anklets, as this holds a great fascination for me even though I am a male.
I am actually a "male" submissive, and I had an anklet made for me by a previous Mistress for wearing on a permanent basis.
Although currently seeking a new mistress/partner at the moment, my anklet remains on 24/7, 365, and has not been removed now for over 5 years even though it easily can be. It was professionally crafted in the States and is made of tight woven leather with a steel clasp so it doesn't look out of place in public at all, and now I couldn't imagine being without it.
There was talk at the time of my anklet being made as a non-removal permanent attachment in some way, similar to Wife & Slaves arrangement, which i liked the idea of seemed really exciting and different but nothing really came of it and it is just became a nice decent anklet my Mistress required me to wear at all times.
Having now read Wife & Slaves' and some of the other posts however, i'm now quite eager to explore the possibility of having something more permanent made and put in place, maybe with a ring for attaching chains to like Chained Wife & Grace has. I'm sure this would hopefully please any future Mistress/Partner seeking a sub that I am hoefully fortunate enough to find.

Everything is going fine.
I silver-soldered the hinge as well as the clasp and attached a small ring on the outside of the left one. They are quite sturdy and cannot be removed now without destroying them. She was a little self-concious about them at first, but now enjoys displaying them a little when we go out. People that have commented on them love the engraving. She hasn't worn the "matching" chain outside yet. Maybe later on. I attach it with small "luggage" padlocks and she spends a lot of time at home wearing it. We're still looking for a matching pair of bracelets.

I got my wife an anklet 1 year ago as I secretly dream of being cuckolded. I put it on her right ankle before she goes out on Friday or Saturday nights (she doesn't know the meaning). I pretent I have to work but stay at home wondering if 'real men' are chatting her up and clean the house from top to toe before she calls me to pick her and her friends up. We are doing fine. Her elderly mom thought they were very pretty-not realizing they're permanent. Her sister guessed right away what they're really for, but promised not to say anything.
All of the comments "outside" so far have been positive, and all from women. Guys look but don't say a word. I should say that she dresses "normal", jeans, mid and long skirts, tennies, flats or sandals. No leather or stillettos. The ankle chain is for our use and she spends mostly evenings and weekends in it. She won't be wearing it to the mall anytime soon. I do have her nearly talked-into the next Halloween party. She would be a chained harem slave girl, of course.

I've had pretty much the same reaction. I let mine "peek out" from under a long skirt or my jeans or a pant-suit, and I go almost everywhere now. Only women have ever come up to me and commented or inquired about them. A public halloween party, years ago, was my first "coming out". Hubby wanted me to go in my belly-dancing outfit. I talked him out of that, so I went as a french maid-fully chained. I was really nervous at first, but as soon as I saw other "slave girls" there I relaxed and had fun the rest of the evening.

How closely do the anklets fit? Do you put anything under / over them when not wearing the chain? Can you post a photo of ankles?

I've worn them for a long time and they are quite snug now. I can cover them with socks, but I usually just wear jeans, a pant-suit ,or a long skirt over them. They can be removed for Airports, doctors, etc.
We have no plans to post any photos here.

My GF has 2, she wears them based on mood and which one based on what else she's wearing (one being a nice pretty chain, the other a pretty rope-based "beachy" one). She's not a wife, and she doesn't sleep around, and I am not even close to being cuckolded.
She got it because it's a pretty piece of jewellery that helps make one look hot. But she was never much into jewellery, so she didn't wear it often. But I have one as well. A cool silver chain (heavy, wide band chain), and I like to wear mine, so she started wearing hers more often. (especially the more casual one since she bought it the first time we went to the beach together)
Sorry to disappoint all you conspiracy nuts, but it doesn't mean a damn thing - it's a decoration, and nothing more. Just like a decorative belt or ring sewn into clothing, or a bracelet/bangles on the wrist, or rings on toes or fingers and thumbs, or necklaces, or ear-rings, etc.
The only thing any of it means is that the wearer likes it and thinks it looks good on them. Period.
And this other stuff about shackles and crap is just plain lunacy too.
If you are not familiar with something don't mean it doesn't exist.
Ankle bracelet on the right ankle of a wife might mean she's a hotwife, if you're in the lifestyle it's even quite obvious. But it's never 100% sure, it's as well possible that it means nothing at all. But don't be so sure about this subject, your GF doesn't represent all the hot ladies out there.

What "lifestyle" would you be referring to then? I AM a swinger (ok, up until January this year when she and met). I HAVE seen swinger specific ankle bracelets, but those were specific due to the charms they had hanging on them.
In and out of the lifestyle it has ZERO meaning. Not in western culture, and certainly not in the US. It's just effing jewellry. That's it. Sorry to disappoint, or impinge upon your warped view of the world, but that's just how it is.
It's no different than people saying that "only gay guys do (X)", be it painting their nails, or wearing toerings or ankle bracelets or skirts or thongs/gstrings, when in fact, gay guys actually do NOT and it's predominately straights who do all that (save for the Thong/gstrings, that's pretty much common ground there lol)
So in otherwords, just because you beleive it, doesn't mean it's true. (because by that same token, every religion in the history of mankind has been "true", no matter how contradictory - among other things)
