| I am travelling to Bangkok soon and would like to try a Thai massage. I know the city has a bit of a reputation and wondered if the normal massage room are for men only and if they involve sex. All I want is a nice relaxing massage but I don't want to embarasse myself. If any women have any advice it would be appreciated |

The more stars the establishment, the more legitimate they are. If sex is what you're after, go to the sleay bars, hang about and let it be known your a foreigner...you'll get lots of 'free' action! Wonderful country where sex comes cheap (in North American standards). |

| No what I am looking at are the massage parlours that you often see in the shopping mails. I thought it would just be nice in the middle of some heavy shopping to have a nice oil massage |

It has been a long time since I have been there, but I think you can get a nice relaxing massage at the temples. Maybe wrong but that's what I remember.
Have a good trip |

Check out the Wat Po school which is the TOP place to get a massage.
Or a salon in a hotel.
I'd be careful on the places on the streets as they are often not trained.
And clearly stay away from anywhere sleazy. |

You can try a Thai massage (no sex stuff) in any of the main hotels. Costs a bit more than if you went in to a salon on the High Street, but then the masseur/-uese at least would speak English.
If youre going to one of the Islands, eg. Phuket, there are massers who set up shop on the beaches. You just go there and they'll give you a massage. Costs next to nothing... |
