HI
WE HAVE AN OLDER COMPUTER THAT SOMETIMES WHEN WE TRY TO DO WORK IT POPS UPP WITH A MESSAGE OF SPOOL 32 OR KERNEL 32 FATAL ERROR, WEH HAVE TRIED TO DOWNLOAD PROGRAMS TO CORRECT TEH PROBLEM BUT TEHN WE CAN NOT UN ZIP AND LOAD THE REPAIR INTO THE COMPUTER

Yeah.

KERNEL 32 error is Fatal. (or a real hassle to fix)

2nd vote to reinstall

Ya but those errors can be caused if you don't have enough memory/ram.

use it to help. if you don't know much about computers, then this is prolly the only way to attempt to get rid of it.

If you are running Windows 98se.. read "Running a Fast and Smooth Windows 98se...".. in this computer help section, page two...

I suspect you are experiencing that glitch, because you uninstalled an unwanted software, and it took parts of the operating system with it...
You must uninstall softwares very carefully...
Try CCleaner. as a safe uninstaller...

Registry Mechanic is a good safe registry cleaner...

Spool32.exe errors come in three main flavors: General protection faults, invalid page faults, and stack faults.

n Win9x/Me, click Start, expand Settings, and click Printers (in WinXP, click Start and Printers And Faxes). Right-click the icon for the problematic printer and select Properties. In Win9x/Me, click the Details tab, click Spool Settings, and click the Print Directly To The Printer option. Also select RAW mode in the Spool Data Format menu. Click OK until the dialog box disappears.

WinXP users need to click the Advanced tab and choose the Print Directly To The Printer radio button. Next click the Print Processor button and make sure RAW is selected in the Default Data Type box. Click OK to close the Window, click Apply to make the changes stick, and exit the Printer Properties dialog box. Printing may be slower now, but those pesky spooling problems should go away.

A common culprit is a conflict with McAfee's VirusScan 4.51 and later, but one poster mentions WordPerfect specifically with Norton Antivirus.

You'll see that things that worked for some people include, but are not limited to: (1) rolling back the printer driver to previous version, (2) choosing to print directly to the printer (not a good solution as it then becomes impossible to use the computer while printing), (3) excluding the /spool folder from virus scanning, (4) resolving an IRQ 7 conflict between the printer and a Creative Labs DOS Emulation module, and (5) updating the Windows spoolss.dll. A copy of updates for Win98 and Win95 (not interchangeable!) are attached to a message near the end of the thread along with instructions. The Win98 update is the WinME version of the file. Laughing

For the KERNEL 32 error, the fatal error, is it kernel32.exe or kernel32.dll?
