Hi All,
Wonder if anyone has heard of or had a similar thing. My friend is really freeked out and i am trying to see if i can be of some osrt of comfort.
She is 9 wees pregnant. It is her 3rd pregnancy. She has always had a little blood on 8 weeks but the doc's put that down to impantation (or something like that) she had the same a week ago and ignored it as the normal 8 weeks bleeding.
Problem is she now started bleeding again on 9 weeks. She said it is dark in colour and looks like alder dryer blood. She went to see the doc and he did an ultra sound and found a perfect looking pregnance. Problem is that he also found a dark black ball in the uterus just next to the good growing sack.
He did not seem worried about and said it is either a ball of dry blood from the last period that is not peeling away and falling out. He also said it could be a sack of a twin that went bad and is now sort of aborting. The ball is empty and has no signs of fetus or anything like that in it.
He said not to wrrry to much and just to watch. But as i am sure yu can understand, bleeding in pregnancy is FREEKy and now seeing that black ball so close to what is a great growing pregnance is scaring her to no end.....
Any thaughts??
Thanks |

| It could just be a blood clot. If her doctor said she is fine, then she should take his word for it and relax. If it is going to miscarry, there is nothing she can do anyway. |
