Hello!

My fiance and I have something in mind for our wedding but have no idea if it is actually possible:
Basically we want to have a humanist wedding in a country garden somewhere, preferrably hampshire or west sussex! Or devon?(uk) I want to have the service under tree or something, or in a marquee if its raining (god forbid!). I want to have an informal picnic instead of a sit down meal with a strict structure (my sister had this and it was great but i want mine to be completely different!)For the evening reception i want to have a romantic candle lit marquee!
But i don't know of any venues that would let us do this! All i want is to have a marquee in someones garden, but i don't know any one who has this kind of home! Obviuosly we would pay the usual rates. Everywhere i have looked at so far just offers the usual set menu and all that stuff!

Any ideas or advice would be appreciated! Thanks ladies!

Meg

Hi Meg -

Take a look at this article - it might help:

http://mrs2be.com/humanist-wedding-ceremonies.php

There is a link in there to the humanist organisation and I am sure they will also be able to give you more help.

Good Luck!
