im having some problems with my computer im thinking of reinstaling windows xp will i loose all my stuff on my hard drive?

if you start install it as fresh then format that will lost everything but if you start fresh and leave it alone (not to format) it will install new windows .

current: C:\WINDOWS\

new installation without reformate pronb become C:\WINDOWS001\

so you won't lost your stuffs.

best method is... back up your stuffs on CD/DVD disc. or make a copy file arrcorss the network.

next time, after you install windows make a copy of the partition with norton ghost for example
-have your documents in a different partition (you can make 3 partitions: one FAT32 - 510mb for the bootloader, another one (main) for windows (ntfs) and your programs and 3rd for your documents
>so when you have to format or something your windows partition your documents will be on the other partition unharmed
