i am about 98lbs, it changes (lol) but i am not anorexic. i am just slim. i think i look ok and the doctor says im healthy. but some people think im anorexic just because im slim, which annoys me. some people dont seem to understand that its possible to be slim and eat!! i dont have bones stickin all over the place and dont look like im about to snap, although u can c my ribs a bit i think it looks ok.like the people above have said, everyone likes different things, so this argument is just gona be on-going and pointless coz everyone has different views on whats sexy.
Good for you! The thing you must remember is you absolutley dont need everyones approval. Be what you are, be what you wanna be. As long as your a good person you will be loved, if not by everybody. But then again no one is loved by everyone. So don't be bothered by nasty people.
A BMI under 20 is unhealthy. According to the BMI chart.
What chart are you referring to? According to the results at the link I posted, http://healthchecksystems.com/bmi.asp , 19-21 is the optimal range. Also, I checked a couple of other sources, and according to both http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmi-related-disease.php and http://www.consumer.gov/weightloss/bmi.htm indicates that anything above 18.5 BMI is still in the normal range. I am a male and I have struggled with weight all of my life. I am currently 160 pounds and 5'10", with a BMI of 23. I would like to get down to 155 pounds. I am extremely proud of my wife and my friend for their slender physiques!
According to most BMI sites i've visited. Most state under 20 is unhealthy *shrugs*
I wouldn't get to hung up on bmi charts they are just guidelines not, the end all be all, marker of health. It is perfectly possible to be healthy with a bmi that is high or low.

In my case most of the sites state than anything above 18.5 is healthy. One of them is http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/calc-bmi.htm which is a website of the US government. My doctor has also told me that the healthy range is 18.5-24.9, preferably 20-22.
Anyway, although BMI is very useful and is indeed used by doctors to assess a person's level of fitness it can in certain cases be misleading. Bodybuilders and athletes many times have a BMI higher than 25 but a very low body fat percentage. I have a friend who has a BMI of 23 but the amount of body fat he has classifies him as overweight. He has a lot of fat and not a lot of muscle and since muscle is denser than fat he doesn't weigh much even though he's overweight.
