If you smoke ANYTHING then it cannot be good. Cannabis generally has to be smoked when mixed in with tobbaco unless its put in a bubble pipe aka morroco, tunisia etc.
Cannabis is best eaten as it's an herb and like any edible herb it's at its best when cooked. Lots of people love garlic so they add it to food, it can be eaten neat but I doubt anyone would want to.
Just because the majority of users smoke it doesn’t mean it has to be smoked.

If you introduce ANY toxins into your body then in the long term it has to be bad for your health.
That depends on many factors, how healthy the person is, how much is taken, how it's taken, how frequently it's taken and how the body handles what's taken.
Alcohol is a good example, some people can drink 10 pints and not be drunk while others are blattered out of their heads on a couple.

That's fair comment, anything done to excess CAN be bad for you, it CAN have an adverse effect on you, but just because it CAN doesn't mean it will.

legalising cannabis would be a good thing as it could be regulated properly..just now unless you are smoking grass you really dont know what you are getting...im talking"eurodope" it could be cut with just about anything....but there still has to be more tests done as to what the side affects really are...long term use could lead to mental health disorders.. :
In a perfect world it would be banned, but when things are limited by money I say legalize it and earmark the money to fight crack, smack, etc.
Puff fries your brain. I know.
Also I know that it is peddled by gangs that pimp, kill, extort, etc. Every time you buy it, it sponsors another death. You might buy it from 'Daz' down the road, but somewhere along the line somone has died for you to get it.
If you think that melodramatic tell that to the poor sods living it.

It would appear the whole country is dry of weed at the moment.
I know what I prefer, a load of 'chilled out' people having a laugh and a good time rather than a load of stressed people who have spent so long 'chilled out' they don't know how to handle being straight.
Just watch the crime rate soar to feed the habit of the drugs that are available because they're more expensive.
I watched something on TV a few weeks ago that said the prices have risen from £800 a KG to £2,000 a KG
You talk a lot of sense, Curvey Brunette. Cannabis is not a dangerous drug. Those who think it is do not understand it, have probably never tried it and are fuelled by anti-drugs propaganda with no real knowledge of the situation.
The active ingrediant in cannabis is THC. THC increases the levels of dopamine in the brain - dopamine is a naturally produced chemical like adrenaline. The increased dopamine levels result in the feelings of calm etc that are associated with being 'monged out'. As has already been stated, being stoned will make you LESS likely to do something aggressive.
As for the arguement of 'someone has died to get you it' that may be true for many drugs, but doubtful with cannabis. Most of it available in the UK has been grown here. The problems come because it is illegal, rather than the other way round. Trade in anything illegal is obviously going to attract an unwnated element who can't find legitimate work, and that's when you get quality problems and horror stories of people mixing resin with oil and mud and other horribleness.
