|

i have been off the pill (Microgyen 30 or what ever its called! sorry!) since begainning of March and im still not pregnant. My partner and i have sex regularly, but still nothing. Is it unusual not to be pregnant after this amount of time off the pill?? i know girls who have missed one pill, had a one night stand and got pregnant? so why arn't i pregnant yet??
Every month i fear the worst that i will come and i alway do... im getting so stressed, worried and fustrated about it. all this time and nothing.. WHY?
When i visted my doctor a few months back for a smear test (i never discussed that i was trying to get pregnant at the time) she told me that my uterus was unusally low, which could result in painful sex in some positions, but shouldn't effect my chances of getting pregnant i nthe future so nothing to worry about... I never really though much else about it, until now that is...
i still havent got pregnant after being off the pill for this long, so maybe the doctor is wrong and maybe my low uterus is stopping me getting pregnant?? what do you think?
please advice me.. what should i do? Anything i can do or take to increase my chances of getting pregnant?
I dont want to sound selfish as i know woman who are more desparate than me and have gone years without falling pregnant and it has only been since March for me, but im still very worried and concerned... me and my parnter really want a baby. |

Hi there, I came off the pill in February and still nothing. In fact, my period is due today and nothing yet, so there's a tiny little flicker of hope . . . but I think a big black boot is about to pummel that hope into the ground any second now! I've got used to the disappointment. Well, kind of. I still feel sad and demoralised a lot - everywhere I look people are getting pregnant effortlessly and I feel like a big barren wasteland!
My periods have only just become regular so it could just be that my period is late; that's why I'm not getting too excited. I'm just dreading those familiar cramps that will tell me another month has passed - I HATE my period now! I'm tempted to do a test, but I've done so many of them I can't stand seeing just the one little line anymore.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! |

That's nothing. I came off the pill two and a half years ago, and I'm still not pregnant. |

Hi,
I stopped taking my pills in the middle of the pack(at the end of July) and had withdrawal bleeding 3 days after.I am not sure when i will be gettingmy periods but the way i feel it should be any minute now. I have been feeling sick, weird taste in the mouth and feeeel like having hot indian food. Do you think going off the pill will make me feel this way?I had unprotected sex with my husband before the withdrawal bleeding, do you think there is a possibility that i might be pregnt? I do want to have a baby badly and i am afraid to test as it might just be negative.i dont want to get myhopes up just wantto know if any of you have the same body changes as i did after stopping the pill...and also bad bad wind pain with rumbling noise .
PLease reply

| Hi, I had all sorts of mad symptoms when I came off the pill - first it felt like I was going through the menopause for about six weeks, then I started feeling as if I were pregnant - sore boobs, feeling sick, really tired etc, but I wasn't pregnant - it was just because the pill messed up my body so badly. Best thing to do is take a test - it's the only way you're going to know for sure. |

Hi guys,
I got my periods yesterday so not preggo. I hate the way going off the pills makes you feel pregnt and get your hopes up. I was really disappointed. But anyways thanks for your reply good to know there are others aswell who have same symptoms as me after stopping the pill. I am 25 and want to have atleast 3 babies before i turn 35. I will keep trying ...Thanks Again

| I went off the pill over 4 months ago, and still haven't gotten my period. I went to the doctor and they told me 4-6 months without having your period, after going off the pill is normal. Anybody else have the same problem? |

Hi there,
Dont worry about it, if you dont get your periods after 6 months then you need to be concerned. You might know this but the doc will do some blood test if this is the case and some scans aswell. How long were you taking the pills for? i was taking the pills from the last 3 years and got my periods after 30 days of stopping the pill. It depends, for some women it takes longer for their body to get back to normal. Not having periods means you have not ovulated so far after stopping the pill.
well hope everything will be fine |

| My wife went off the pill and she just got pregnant this month. 10 days after the start of your period, have sex every other day for the next 18 days. This may work |

Hi,
I came off the pill last December after me and my boyfriend decided we wanted to try for a baby but still nothing.
But i think thats more down to the amount of times we have sex we hardly ever do it anymore (1/2 times a month) so im guessing thats why we're not having much luck??
I think because we're so fed up of bein disappointed each month he cant be bothered anymore for the time bein.
I had a period about a week after coming off the pill and have been getting them every month since but they are always nearly a weel late so very misleading and frustrating!!
Does anyone know of anything either of us could take to help? Im starting to think there is something wrong with me as he already had a little boy so it must be me!!

Hiya
I read an article that says some girls are more "fertile" in the first month of coming off the pill! Not sure how true that is....
I don;t think you stressing is helping. I know it is easier said than done but I am sure when you stop stressing things will happen!
ALSO HOT TIP - Google ask Dr Amy when you go to the link select Fertility map - you put in the 1st day of your last period and it works out when you are most fertile and ovulating and therefore would be more like to fall pregnant etc... Try that!
Hope it helps. I am just coming off the pill myself and am following the Dr Amy link to start trying.... |
