Incest dream... help! V worried!

I keep dreaming that I lost my virginity to my step dad. I have been very close to him since I was a child (age 5 or 6). I very rarely have this dream, like once a year or something for the past 5 or 6 years. I don't feel that I have any feelings for him apart from strong father figure feelings, although I am close to my real father too.
I feel disturbed after having the dream and sickened that I even thought of it.

Please help me to understand what it means,

Are you familiar with Freud's theories? He's got a lot that don't make sense (like everything being about penis envy), but some of them are valid. One is the idea that we choose our mates based on traits we like in our opposite sex parents. For example, a man might marry a woman who had things in common with his mother, regardless of whether he realized it or not at the time. The only explanation I have for your dream is that you may be anxious about losing your virginity and you want it to be with the right person. Your step-dad seems to be someone you trust and feel close to, so your mind substitutes him for whatever guy it will someday end up being. This doesn't mean you want to have sex with him - just that you admire certain traits of his and would like to find a lover who also possesses those traits.

I wouldn't be too concerned, I also have had a smiliar dreams about my own dad, I think you'll find that youre by far not the only one but its not something you dont want to go telling other people! I do feel disgusted when ive had this dream but I know I love my dad for my dad and dreams are that wierd anyway, none of them ever make sense so I blame it on my brain just mixing up all of my thoughts Have you ever heard of people havnig dreams about having sex with someone they would definitly not have sex with - like work colleagues etc!!! Its quite normal, dosent mewan you want to with them!!!... Im not worried...

i believe dreaming about incest if not of the simple desire.. it could sometimes be a strange way of interpreting your feeling of closeness/bonding to whoever it is you dream of. Strange but true.
