I have to say that my relationship with my MIL is really the pits!! She has to comment on everything that I do, whether it's the way I dress my daughter or the styles in which I dress myself. She nit picks about the way my family home looks, b/c my sister-in-law is so neat and clean and I'm not the same. She complains whenever I have classes I have to attend so that I can finish my degree and get a better job to support the family. She doesn't think that education is very important and she sure lets me know it! Most annoying however, is that she thinks her "precious" son, (my husband) can do no wrong and that everything is always MY fault when my husband and I fight. The last time he and I had a fight, she wanted to change the locks on my home so that my daughter and I wouldn't be able to live here!! Meanwhile, it's winter and my daughter is a 1 year old! It doesn't matter to her that my husband and I are trying to work through our differences, she wants me gone! I swear if she blames one more fight between my husband and myself on PMS, I will scream! I have never shown this woman anything but respect, and this is how she treats me. I wish there were some way I could keep her from seeing my daughter, her grandchild.

I really feel for you. Iam sorry you have to put up with this. Me and my boyrfiends mother dont speak so thats easy cos I dont ever have to see her. When she rarely visits, I will go out of the house for an hour or two just to get away from her. She's a bitch. My boyfriend is adopted and his other 3 brothers and sisters are the 'natural' children and she treats them better than my Boyfriend. She is such a bitch. When I was first brought down to meet them, his Mum said to him after I left, 'Dont bring HER back to this house'. All because I wasnt a catholic. They can rot in hell. They visit the other brothers and sisters who live hundreds of miles away more often than they visit my boy who lives literally 5min drive away from their house. I suggest you smile at your MIL when she says anything nasty. Cos if you say anything back that gives her more reason to start off on something else. Just smile it will annoy the hell outta her! Good luck.
