If you really want to wear earrings I say go down to the shops and get your ears pierced. I wanted my husband to have both his ears pierced because I think it looks better than just having the single earring. My husband always agreed that having both ears pierced looks better but when he had his left ear pierced it was not fashionable for males to have earrings in both ears. The persuation was needed because he was not too keen on having his ear pierced in Claires (that where we were at the time) on a busy Saturday afternoon with lots of people watching the procedure. The shop assistant reassured him that the piercing would be very quickly over. Now the six week healing period is over my daughter and my husband both love their newly pierced ears.

One day my son came home from school with something twingling in his left ear. I asked him what it was. He told me he had his ear pierced in the Mall after school and wanted an earring so he bought one. I told him it was Ok as long as he ask for permission the day before. The earring looked good and cool. It was quite embarrasing for me to have no earrings in my ears at the time.

I am deciding whether or not to get my sons ears pierced as it is more fashionable now.

My son wears a diamond. He is not allowed to wear it to school so he covers it up with a plaster. It didn't hurt. The teachers think it is cute.

Hey guys, l love my earrings and so do my boys. I have 2 sons and one daughter who is the oldest. When we first went in to get my daughters ears pierced she was the only 7 and was excited, l had told my other 2 others sons to get it done at the same time but they wouldn't listen. So once my daughter got those diamond in her ears my 2 oldest sons wanted them too thinking about their own diamonds and perals which they would have. Now my daughter is 17 and my sons are much older and we all share earrings. You should see my sons and birth stones they wear to school and no one cares. They now have so many earrings that can wear one with each outfit.

Even for christmas my sons revieved a pair of perals and those long dangles that his girlfriend wears. They love their earrings and noone cares either. So l recommend that you ask your sons if they wants earring and is they say yes get it done!!

My son asked me if he could have his ears pierced. I told him that I'll see. Should I let him or not. He is 14 years old and I think he is mateur enough for earrings.All it is,is two holes in each ear. I gave him some money and he came home with diamond studs in his ears.

It's good to hear you Mums encouraging your boys, and men, to have both their ears pierced, the more of you that do the better.

It may eventually bring and end to this form of sexual discrimination, and lets be honest it looks great on kids of both sexes.

Today after school I picked up my 14 year old son and took him to Claire's
to get his ears pierced. I asked for two piercings one in each ear and for diamond studs. I waited and after five minutes he came up to me and hugged me, thank you mum for making such a good decision. His diamonds were really nice and very shiny. Thank You for the advice.

I absolutely agree with the above. I have wanted my ears pierced since I was seven. I am now a professional and can't really find the opportunity and my wife is against it. If I had been allowed as a child I wouldn't be in this dilemma now.

My husband is also a professional worker in sales and he recently had a new ear piercing as I mentioned above. He has had no negative comments about wearing earrings.
You can have your ears pierced with very nice discrete studs which do not look out of place at work.
For work my husband just wears the pair of gold ball piercing studs which my daughter had her ears pierced with.

OK - so how do I persuade my wife that she wants a husband with pierced ears. I've been standing in Claire's before about to get this done, but it's imagining her reaction that stops me. Perhaps showing her your posts would help!

OK ... I would like to get my second ear pierced, yet this might be frowned upon at work Is there a type of piercing stud to use or something to cover it up with ?

My husband had his ears pierced six weeks ago now. I took his earrings off half an hour ago and he told me he felt a big relief he asked me to put his earrings back on so I put them back on. It was quite easy geting the earring out because of my long nails.
