I get asked this question all the time, I always say… Monofibre hair extensions. Simply because Monofibre has been worn by Kate Moss, Elle Macpherson and Peaches Geldof!
I know it may seem fickle, but when I tried the service out, I could understand why celeb’s wear Monofibre hair. I always get complements from men about how amazing I look. It’s too true!
I read some where that Human hair can really mess you up long term. It damages your hair, then suddenly you start losing it! [That’s not happening to me, no way!]
My natural hair is well protected with Monofibre plus it gives my natural hair a chance to grow out that in between stage. Another great thing about Monofibre is that it’s not very expensive, which means I can change my look as often as I go shopping, and that’s quite often!
If you call Dome they’ll help you find a salon in your area that does the Monofibre extensions service! 0800 298 7780
Peaches no longer has monofibre extensions - she had some applied by Racoon International. Check out their website for details.
Elle Macpherson has had human hair for some time...... if you want the name of the salon, email me!
And well each method has there risks - it is often not down to the hair. It is more the application method, especially the size and sectioning of the bonds.
As someone who has had both monofibre and human hair, I would personally go for human hair - AS IT IS LIKE MY HAIR, and is able to go from curly to straight easily. Also the shine that came off my monofibre extensions in photo's was ridiculous! It had a little too much shine..... Not to mention the fried ends after 3 weeks......
I think someone working for dome is doing a little self promtion here??? Where are the rest of the sceptics?????

Hello,
I just came across this website whilst looking for beauty tips, its really interesting, I've picked up some really good advice. I noticed that some one wrote that Peaches uses Racoon extensions? That can't be right! That's absolute crap! Peaches went to a Racoon’s party and some unscrupulous paparazzi or spin-doctor has taken a snap and has used it as some sort of testimony.
Peaches dislikes Human Hair extensions with a passion! I know, my daughter has shown me several articles where Peaches expresses her dislike for Human Hair extensions for example an article written by OK magazine supplement called the Star written on the 12.8.06. Peaches says,’ I’d never get' human hair extensions!
She talks about the ethics of where the human hair is sourced; every one knows theres a real seedy tone to human hair.
So the last person who wrote that stuff about racoon [which I'm sure as company might be doing well] is talking complete crap! So what if people like Monofibre hair! I have friends who've used Human and Monofibre hair for years, I know, I must admit those who've worn Human hair have now reverted to using Monofibre. What does that tell you? You make you mind up!
There are a lot of Monofibre hater's out there! But what’s to hate it's really as hair friendly as your going to get on the hightstreet!
Thermofibre is nicer to touch than monofibre and it can take heat upto 360 degrees, therefore you can put straightners, curling tongs, hairdryer on it.
feel so sorry that some creep "guest" IS INFILTRATING when there are real questions going on.I am a stylist and understand exactly how difficult it is to decide if extensions are a good idea.
Hair from someone else is not, glue is not, stylists who do no more than a set a week is not. There are some reputable hair dressers still left and we pride our selves on our work and the systems we choose.Beware of mystery guests who seem only out to ensure that they make it complicated for clients to know what is right.(or perhaps they are sales men)
My decision on the system i use was made by following the top stylists in the industry and their messages. No creepy guest ,p.r. ,or product company.
It was great to see on Sunday the exposure of where this "hair" comes from a nd the scalp hunters in News of the World. Think about it.Especially if you are a P.R.,creepy guest,or product company.
Hardly the convincing fact in the above argument......!
As with any industry you will only hear the bad - nobody wants to read about the good.
NOT ALL HAIR IS ACQUIRED THOUGH ILLEGITIMATE SOURCES.....!
Perhaps this argument should be broadenened to includes things like clothes, trainers, jewellery etc etc
I think we should all get some perspective and take the emotion out of the debate. Everyone is entitled to an opinion ( hence this being a forum!) and every argument is double sided. I dare guess that not everyone knows everything......
Stop being so ignorant!
( PS Nicky Clarke lost all my respect after he butchered Ben from X Factors hair last week in Heat magazine.... poor guy! He is no longer rock and roll!)

Have you tried Human Hair clip in extensions? I bought a beautiful thick set from www.glamourextensions.com and I love them. I had the bonded extensions and they tore up my hair. these look soo realistic and the quality of hair is awesome...takes me 10 min to put in

I thanks for the tip, I tried the human hair extensions clip-ins they are ok, but I much prefer monofibre extensions they are easy to look after and I dont have to worry about puting them in all the time!
I've just been to Antenna where they invented hair extensions. My hair looks superb.I've had them for 3 weeks and I love them more each day.Wish my own hair felt and looked liked this.
