I totally agree and also i think the internet is a dangerous place for psycho types to get off on sick fantasies.
If you go to tesco`s its like a battlefield on a Saturday, full of greedy people bashing people out of the way, screaming kids that parents ignore and are afraid to disiplin them for fear of dirty looks. People equate being happy with how much they can buy and never stop for a moment to just be.... and think.... and reflect.... on what they are doing. I meditate on life and i think that the social divide is getting wider. My neighbour actually asked me why i read books, she said reading is such a waste of time. I said that i read in order to educate myself and to keep my brain alive. I dont need to keep buying new cars and crap like her as i am happy inside and dont see life the way she does. She said i should stop reading books as it gives people funny ideas and stated that she never reads anything. I said you dont say ? I would never have known that and she scuttled off giving me a dirty look.
The world is a crazy place when theres so much wealth and a throw away society in the west and yet people have no water in Darfour so i dont know what the answer is. Maybe we should all be a bit less materialistic.

Everything is f*cked up and the people in control (and thus able to make a difference) are either a joke or psychpaths (or both). The only way to survive is look for the funny side of these things.

i feel it all boils down to conflict of interest ...These people like living a certain way of life ..and since certain other influences want to go over their to make profits for their own personal reason its intrudin on the culture ..Or they found it intrusive ..to their standard and ways of living
i guess u would be upset of someone comes along and totally changes the way ur living as well espcially when u dont want to change ....Their is people in the americas who dont like change alot of them in power ..That is why America started off as a republic and still is for the most part ..
...their are alot of people who dont view change in a negative light when it is perfectly normal and is part of evolution things dont move backwards they move forward ..but that is the ignorance of this world though

i dont understand why now everyone seems to be caring when this has been goin on forever....by constantly bringin up past grievances into the present ..things get distorted

Totally agree there. It's nice to see that some people seem to be on a similar wavelength to me as we seem in the minority now. Everything is all me, me, me. Everyone wants to be 'famous', not for doing anything or contributing, but just for being famous!! I blame Big Brother et al for that one! Kids are saying they all wanna be TV presenters when they grow up! Excellent, fame and money just for reading an auto-cue (of course there is the assumption that said people will be able to read!).

One of my favorite films is Fight Club, and there are so many quotes in that which really illustrate this point:

'You are not the contents of your wallet'

After Ed Norton loses his suitcase, 'Everything was in there. My designer ties, my Calvin Klien suit....'

'It's only when we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything'
