Wedding favours?

Postby Bridey23 on Tue Apr 19, 2005 10:42 am

Hey brides to be....

I have a question about wedding favors....I was just wondering what kind of favors are you havign if your having any kind of favors. I plan to fix the scrolls but am going to do those on my computer with a print shop program. And how many are you going to have? I would really like to find some that are easy and cheap to make.

There is one I can share with you I saw were you use a plastic spoon and in the spoon part place 2 hershey kisses, and wrap in small bags, etc. You can add a card that says, Have a spoonful of kisses from the new MR.

And MRS. and add your name along with your new spouses and your wedding date. I am trying to track down purple spoons because my colors are purple and silver.

SO there's an idea I have shared. Hope to find more ideas in this site.

Hi, you may be interested to know that I create wedding favours and the most popular at the moment are either fairytale themed (ie horse & carriage favour holders, beaded Cinderella-style shoes) or anything with feathers and cala lilies. I hope this helps and please contact me if you'd like further details. Good luck.

ok for the favours.....

give them only to the ladies .... that is traditional.

some lovely favour ideas lately are making up bags out of wrapping paper or on the pc with normal tracing paper .....yes I said tracing paper..... I have a design on how to make these if you are interested ... I can email to you if you like ....

you can fill the bags with ....loveheart sweets ... or any kind of sweets ...sugar almonds are traditional ...I went down the route of chocolate hearts in a gold shell...they were gb 30 pence for 10 (so 3p each) and they keep a life span of about 1 year.

I actaully handed out favours to the men .... i bought a bag from a grcoery store full of pick and mix and put them in the bags for the men ...like liquirice.. chewy's .. soccer balls etc .

they went down a treat....... so much so that I have been asked to aid lots of my friends in the favour front....

good luck my little bride to be ..... and remember to keep your dress on for as long as you can ..... casue you will never be able to wear it again .... i always want to wear mine again and regret that I cant..... and please dont stress on the day ... if something goes wrong ...dont worry ... no-one but you knows its not right
