You can stop but the sexual tension is painful. I had a permanent erection on and I could not sleep at night.
I have not masturbated for over three years and once you are over the first three weeks the urge goes.
I have a lot more energy now that I am celibate.

like any addiction like smoking you must step down from it gradually. have 1 week where you do it 50 times then week 2 you do it 45 times then week 3 you do it 40 times and so on. you can use a locking device to keep you from temptation of going back to do it. try to purchase a lock.
