Zoe Williams
Zoe Williams (born 1973) is a British columnist and journalist. She writes regularly for The Guardian and the New Statesman, though her work has also appeared in other publications including The Spectator and the London Cycling Campaign's magazine London Cyclist. Much of her writing is in the form of short, lighthearted, topical pieces but she also writes political comment, interviews and reviews.
She studied at Lincoln College, Oxford, where she read Modern History.
Her political views are left-wing and feminist and she frequently covers feminist issues in her columns. She is also a supporter of Humanism.
Williams lived in Camberwell until early 2007 and often referred to the area in her writings. She now lives in Earlsfield.
Williams recently received mention in the satirical political magazine Private Eye (No. 1179) when this very page was edited to contain such phrases as "highly regarded", "witty articles" and "critically acclaimed". The user that made the alterations bore the user name "Zoewilliams". |
