3 days is nowhere near long enough, if hes genuine he won't mind waiting longer to meet you. I've met quite a few of my _ mates but the soonest I met anyone was 2 months and we used to speak on and offline for 5-6 hours every day.
Lots of little points/hints/tips for you........
I can't say how long you should wait but certainly not before you are 100% comfortable about it.
I presume you have his landline telephone number not just his mobile?
If you dont already have his address get it, post something to him to make sure his address is genuine and tell someone his address.
Make it a daytime meeting and somewhere of your choice.
Take a friend along with you and tell someone else about your plans.
Text his car details to a friend but don't travel in it.
Take it at your pace, explain to him that youre just being cautious.
If at anytime you feel uncomfortable bail out, trust your instincts.
All this information should really apply to someone new you meet in a bar club etc too.
Doom and gloom over. I haven't had a bad meeting, all that i've met have been great tho there are a few I perhaps shouldn't have met (a couple wanted more than friendship after meeting so I felt like I lost a friend) I still talk regularly to most that I've met in person, and been dating the one for 9 months (we took 2 years to get together as a couple)I've got some great mates and a great fella proof that there are real success stories and no reason that you shouldn't be one.
Good luck
You may be right, I may be crazy But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for......
