My fiancé (together with his best man) had a tattoo at the top of his back/base of neck whilst on his stag weekend – this was always his intention and we are quite relaxed about it. However, my fiance’s tattoo is a little higher than I (or he) imagined it would be and, whilst we knew it would always be visible when wearing a t-shirt, it can also be seen when he’s wearing some of his shirts with collars (but not others depending on the cut of the collar).

The shirt he’s going to wear for the wedding falls into the former category. I don’t mind everyone seeing the tattoo but I can just imagine standing at the front of church on my wedding day and everyone noticing and concentrating on my fiance’s tattoo rather than us as a couple, plus the bridesmaids and the occasion overall. Would you change the shirt for one with a higher collar if you were us?

yes deb i think you are right there.

not really because of people looking at that and not you as a couple. but because it will stand out to you in any photos and not look smart enough.

just my opinion!
