Hey, got my driving test tomorrow morning and Im hoping for nice clear weather and to be given the manouvers turn in the road and reverse round the corner and to pass - obviously.
I've had a bad week really, had a cold early on, a migraine on Friday night and a tummy bug all Saturday so Im hoping bad things come in threes and I've had my share lol
Anyone else passed/failed recently?

Well, the driving test went horribly, I failed because I was going too slow on a 60mph road. I was slowing down so I didnt skid on the wet road but slowed too much
On the up side, I have more or less found a car I love and it will hopefully help me gain confidence to go faster!
It's an m reg peugot 106, red, only four gears but we had it going at 55mph in 3rd gear up a hill so shouldnt be a problem lol. It's £575 and the insurance is going to be around the £430 mark with Mum on the insurance to bring it down. Thats with Diamond and apparently without her on too I was going to be over £600!
So, gone from being really depressed to really excited, by tomorrow afternoon I may own a car!

So let me get this right . . . You failed your driving test cause you were scared to go fast and possibly skid out, so you go out and find a car you are probably going to buy . . .
Failed driving test = no license . . . yet buying a car . . . wow. |

I'm sorry to hear you failed your test.
I took my test in an Austin 1100 and when I did my emergency stop the roads were damp and the back wheels locked up but fortunately it stopped in a straight line.
Hand signals were part of the test then and when the examiner told me to use hand signals and turn right I did a left hand signal and turned right. Nerves!
Towards the end of the test I was behind a hearse going at 20mph and I was not going to overtake it out of respect for the dead but the examiner said. "We are not going to follow the hearse are we?" As I was passing it a car turned out of a side road into my path and I had to brake and follow the hearse again. I overtook the hearse a few seconds later.
I passed my test! |

| Exodus - I am buying a car to get extra practice and confidence on the road. I will be out with one of my parents as they have both had licences long enough to supervise a learner like me. The majority of people I know who have passed have had extra practice and I will most likely save money on lessons. What's the problem with that? |
