McAfee now produce and Internet Shredder which will clean any trails.
If you are deleting all of your history and temp files, unless she was a massive computer clever person, it would be very, very difficult to access this.
Do you use Google Toolbar to find sites?
Dont forget you need to empty that as well if you do. Click on the Down arrow next to the logo then Clear Search history. |

There are a couple of issues here. The first one is,whats the problem? Have you done something that you" are embarrassed or ashamed of? If not then simply respond by saying yes your right, i really enjoy looking at that kind of thing. Maybe we could look at it together? "
or some similar kind of response.
If you've been up to something slightly dodgier or illegal then thats another issue.
However if you dont feel that you can stand by the courage of your convictions and you ARE ashamed and embarrassed at what you have been up to then there are a few points to consider...
Perhaps your partner has installed some covert tracking software on the pc? This kind of software is commercially available and is not really visible to the pc user. The only person who can view its output is the one who installed it and had the necessary admin rights/password.
If thats the case then you have a problem.
You could try downloading and installing Internet Explorer privacy keeper by UNH solutions from t'internet. Its a free download. Make sure you set it up correctly.
The bottom line is that a windows pc should have multiple accounts set up for each user. The Administrator account should only be used for administration and NOT everyday use. |

Recently, I started using Kaspersky Anti-Virus. It does an excellent job of identifying key logging software. If you use this to dig up all the nasties on your computer, you should keep a second computer handy to browse the Internet and verify all the suspect programs reported. Some key logging software may be a valid part of the operating system or vendor supplied packaging.

I think JinJin is along the right lines...
from what you've described it does sound like she's been using a keylogger. everything you do on your computer (even if you delete the internet details) will be emailed to her email address.
these things are very hard to detect even with anti virus software
i think i might have some software specifically designed for this that could help. if you are interested then reply back. i am very lazy ...too lazy to go looking for it if you don't want it |

| Dude you need to clear your cache in each browser you use. If that doesnt work she might have a program that catalogues each site you visit. Find the site and uninstall it. |

Along with other internet history deleters mentioned in other posts, You could try AVG Anti-Rootkit free. It will do a search of your computer for any keyloggers or other security programs that spyware checkers don’t usually find. You can get it free from this link: Click here
It's totally safe to use as it will only run when you tell it to, and won't automatically remove anything. It has a help section too to describe what things are and what they do, should they come up.
I did a check of my PC yesterday and it turned out clean, which is good news. |

Not that I have much to hide, and this is a shared computer, I'd just do a 'Control H' and click 'yes' then delete the temporary files.
If the sites you are looking at are harmless, then there is no problem. If thats still not a good excuse for her, then she is the problem. You may be a couple but you are entitled to your own life too! |

I'm just going to ramble-on roll with this one.. tossing-out all my first thoughts and options on this, and you decide if any of it fits you...
This little problem indicates a much greater problem within a problem...
Get your own PC... With a router you can run four computers on the Net...
If you are strapped for cash, the garage sales start soon... You sometimes can get a reasonable one for 20-bucks... You can even find good computers in the trash sometimes... You can tell friends that you are looking for a cheap computer...
My trick at garage sales is to find something I want, and no matter what price they have on it, I say, "will you take a couple dollars for the wrecked computer?".. and sometimes they say yes... There have been times I bought something for a dollar or two, that worked good, and was listed forsale at 50-bucks, just by using this little trick...
You can lock everyone out of your own computer, just with a password...
If someone is spying on you.. there's a crazy reason... Mr B has it right... Maybe it's time to dump her, pack up your stuff, and store your possessions in a mini-storage, and move on out of the "kindergarten bible school hospital"... Get out of a crazy house, where you have little to no rights... Recall that old song that goes, "just slip out the back Jack, drop off the key Lee, no need to to be coy Roy.. just set yourself freeee..." First time is scary... Second time is much easier... 50th time flows like a gallon of water down a hill.. like taking a dump... Takes a day, and it's all over with, and you've left hell's daughter behind you... Box only your own stuff, be an honest quiet gentleman about it, throughout the whole breakup, leaving no new cuts and scars, and for-sure label the boxes what's in them... The hardest part is to give her that last little hug, and saying, "I won't be returning"... but when you break that final embrace, it feels like a "ton of S***" just slipped off your back, and a hundred pounds of biting stinging pain just got out of your face...
Or you can set up your own account in her computer, and ask at major geeks and castle cops, if there is a way to prevent someone from enabling spyware programs from monitoring your computer activity in a secondary users account...
And Hey!.. if what you do is bratty and irresponsible childish, and you just can't be trusted, then you go figure it out... Which ever package you fit, and which ever solution you go for, make it a chunk of honest reality... |
This, made me laugh.
Thank you. |

dude its not your cache and it wont work by deleting your history. she has a keystroke program that is saving all the sites you are visiting. look at all your programs in your control panel and delete the ones that you are unfamiliar with. The program she is using. It is a type of key logger program. delete it. or if she has a password lock on the program so u cant delete it then save everything in your my documents folder and all your important files you need on a external hard drive. format you machine. reinstall everything like it was and you are good. dont forget to clean your cache out of all your sites and constantly check ur control panel to see if she has reinstalled it. if she keeps installing it just keep formating.
