My proposal...

You know that reality TV show "The Restaurant," where Rocco DiSpirito opened a restaurant on TV? My fiance and watched it, and there were a couple of episodes where people had gotten engaged (and heard a lot more people had popped the question there since). Well, September 13, 2003, we'd gone ito NYC to see an off-off-Broadway play in the same neighborhood as Rocco's, so we went there afterward for coffee and dessert. After they cleared the table, he took out a poem he'd written, gave it to me and had me read along while he recited it (it was about sharing a life). The last line was "Do you... with me?" After I'd said yes to that, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. They brought champagne after that, and I couldn't ait to start telling people. It was too late to make phone calls, so I wound showing the ring to two women at the next table (who I'm sure were watching!)
