Last week I had a dream that a certain lifeguard in the aquatic centre at work jumped in to save a child from drowning and the child was crying and distressed afterwards but the child wasa girl.

THen on Sunday that lifeguard actually DID jump in to save a child from drowning the child was also crying and distressed, the only difference is that the child was a boy.

In my dream and in reality the child was drwoning in nearly the same place of the pool but the lifeguard entered the water in different areas. He went in the beach area in my dream as on Sunday he jumped in over the side.

Anyway this scared me to death Shocked especially after he really did save a child AFTER I had the dream about it.

Does anyone know what this means, I am now going to freak if I dream that someone is dying Shocked Crying or Very sad

Don't worry it's probably just a coincidence. After all, the lifeguard would have to jump in and save a child sooner or later, it's bound to happen (otherwise they wouldn't be needed would they?). It's not like you dreamed it exactly like it happened.

First, the child was a boy when you dreamed it was a girl. Secondly, the lifeguard didn't jump in the same way as you dreamed. Even the similarities between your dream and the reality don't mean that much.

1) You dreamed it was a child - I expect children are more likely to drown (having less strength/ stamina/ common sense).

2) The child was distressed and crying - not that unusual really, I bet I would be crying if I nearly drowned!

3) It was the same lifeguard - how many lifeguards are there altogether? Because really there was an equal chance that any of them could have been the next to save a child so it doesn't mean anything unless there are hundreds of lifeguards working there.

4) The child was in the same area of the pool - I suppose some areas of the pool are more 'dangerous' as in you are more likely to get in difficulties in the deep end not the shallow end.

Hope that puts your mind at rest!

I had a similar one last night, i was floating in a candlelit pool and lots of tribble like balls started floating around me, it was so scary.
