i agree i work in a hairdressers and a guy came in chatting away as normal and we have full length mirrors in front of the clients he pulled up his jeans to scratch his leg and i noticed he was wearing tights so i couldnt help myself and asked him about it and he pulled up his jeans further to show me his legs and they looked awesome sooo sexy so i agree wet would be the word

As a 35 year old hetro male from the UK, I must admit that I have worn tights for years - most often indoors of course, although I have more so recently worn them under my business attire at work! I love the shiny variety best, often Aristoc or Charnos - or if I am feeling extravegant, maybe Wolford! I get so turned on feeling my trousers sliding against may silky covered legs! Long time since I posted here - surprised the thread is still going...but the topic is fascinating. Over the last year or two the idea that many (millions) of men do indeed wear tights or pantyhose has gradually started moving the manufacturers to the male market. Times change and what is strange to one generation will be normal to the next. To my fathers generation wearing cologne was tantamount to being gay......now perfectly normal for men to smell as good as women. In fact it was the eliberate targetting of men's cologne for women to buy for their husbands and boyfriends that kicked off a billion dollar men's fragrance industry. Just ten years ago seeing a man wearing ear rings was - well stranger than a three dollar bill. Now it is perfectly normal. In fact when I bought my wife some ear rings this past Christmas the sales assistant (lady in her 40's) said I'd look good in a pair. I nearly passed out from embarrassment...probably because it didn't quite fit into my paradigm of what is "right"
And so it will be with tights and pantyhose. Gerbe, Levee, Activeskin are all actively promoting them as a male garment and manufacture male specific garments or unisex...which of course they are.
It seems strange to me that any man or woman would object so strongly to the idea especially as most males wear them under trousers so they cannot be seen anyway.
Jockeys and the horse riding fraternity have been wearing stockings and pantyhose for years, many soccer players wear them to prevent cramps, skiers to keep warm and so it goes on. A big secret that everyone knows about....funny really.
For me this is year 43 of wearing tights. I could not do my job without them...far too cold...and for my wife and I they are just perfectly normal clothes.
But society norms never cease to amaze me with their double standards. A Scotsman wearing a kilt is OK. A man wearing a skirt just like a kilt without the tartan is a wierdo. A woman wearing a mans jeans is sexy a man wearing womens jeans is gay. Women can wear mens pants and suits but men cannot wear womens skirts and business suits.
The best thing is just do what you want to do and wear what ever it is you feel comfortable in....who really cares what any one else thinks.

Just another thought from the frozen one from Canada. Kirsti finds the thought of a man in pantyhose quite a turn on and I have found that about as many women feel that wayas those that are horrified by the thought and there are some women who don't really care one way or the other.

I thought my wife was in the latter category (indifferent) but after all these years I was wrong. To my great surprise when I was getting dressed for work I noticed her peeking out from under the blankets taking a good look at me in just tights Seems they give her a big turn on "I get very, very wet" to quote her words exactly.

You think you know someone and after all this time together she still surpises me. So to all those men that are afraid of what their other half thinks - don't be. Like Kirsti the effect may be the exact opposite of what you think. It took me 33 years to find that out.

Wear what you like...everyone else does. there will be others who like what you wear too.

im an 18yom straight who now wears ladys underware thanks to my mum, sounds funny i know but she has allways been easy going and encourages me in what ever i want, she gave me my first drink and showed my how to smoke took me for my first tattoo even though i was too young it cost 600 pound and took 18 hours looks awesome though but when i was 16 id seen a woman with a tattoo and stockings on they were sheer and you could see the tattoo and i just mentioned to my mum it looked cool before you know it shes talked me into going to her beauticians and getting my lexs waxed which hurts like hell the first time and by end of play that day im wearing black sheer stockings with red toenails and the tattoo just showing through and it looked awsome, so now everyday i wear tights under my clothes but if im home im usually in shorts and she bought me some skirts which i tend to wear more these days, and its brought me closer to my sister too caus she askes to borrow my clothes in exchange for make up lessons.

Whether you like men in pantyhose or not, it is interesting that women who get turned on by it are leading those that do not. Boy I wished I could have found a woman that got turned on by it because I enjoy wearing hose at times because of how it feels upon the skin.

It is also interesting that men NOT wearing pantyhose is not that old of an idea..18th century to today. In the 12th century Europe, Breeches worn by men became close fitting, reaching from the waist to the foot like modern tights. Women wore stockings held up at the knee by garters. Then in 1545, knitted stockings came into fashion. In 1589, when the first knitting machine was invented, silk and cotton became the popular fibers of the era and silk became the choice of royalty. Silk stockings were worn at times in layers when it was cold. In 17th Century, when large boots were in fashion, linen "boot hose" were worn to protect the silk stockings underneath. Men continued to wear silk stockings WITH GARTERS until the end of the 18th century when long trousers began to appear and then socks have been worn underneath ever since except in the case of those men who enjoy wearing pantyhose underneath instead.

So, it wasn't until the 18th century that stockings started to become an "exclusive" piece of wardrobe per se for women and made primarily for women. Now, there are companies that are catering to men who enjoy wearing hose as noted in the postings.

As I stated earlier, I do enjoy wearing them at times because of how they feel, but I enjoy it even more seeing women in hose and heels and how it feels when I caress their hose covered legs !!!

But everyone has their preferences and whether it is a perversion as some say it is in these postings is a matter of ones on preferences and beliefs. So is it perverted for men to wear hose? It wasn't from the 1500's to the 1800's. As noted above, men even wore garters to hold them up. At one time, it was "wrong" for women to wear pants but now, they do. Does that mean it was a perversion for women to wear pants when it was "wrong"? No, it just wasn't an accepted fashion then.

Men even wore skirts in ancient Rome and Greece and even today in Scotland...Oh I forgot, they aren't skirts in Scotland, they're kilts. Even so, today if a man is caught wearing a skirt, except for maybe a kilt, he will be considered wierd or even a pervert by many. But yet, that is due to societal changes and acceptabilities more so than anything else. Skirts have become primarily the clothing of women and because of it, it can no longer be for men even though pants which were consider to be primarily for men and "wrong" for women to wear at one time are now fashionable for women to wear.

Common fashions may come and go but they really don't become perverted per se except in the minds of those who choose to be very judgemental of others and just because it is wrong for one person or group of people does not necessarily make it wrong for others or even perverted. So, if a man wants to wear hose, I say let him. If he wants to wear a skirt, go ahead. I just think women look better in hose and in skirts than any man and I would prefer to see women in them than a man. But then again, that is my preference!!

I am a man and as long as I can remember I love tights...
This is the first time I have ever seen a chat room about this topic, I have read most of the postings and I don’t feel bad or ashamed about what I ware. I have never met a girl that likes to see a man in tights or gets excited about it. Im still looking.
when I go out and see a good looking woman in a nice pare of tights I think about what she has on and is she would like to see a man in the same pare, and what it would feel like. My dream would be to meet a woman that likes a man in tights, and likes to wear them all the time her self....

I go jogging in tights, I love them although I do get some funny coments from women! I do usually wear underwear underneath them but if I jog at night I don't!

Only the other night I was jogging and a women gave me her phone number! so as far as im concerned, I think women do like men in tights, I hope they do anyway!

nice one joggertight girls do love men in tights they show of your muscles a lot better smooth out the skin iv,e never had any problems before with girls not likeing me in them once iv,e explained why i wear them maybe iv,e been lucky to meet open minded girls you,ll be suprised by how many women do know about it the web has changed everything women who by there tights _ will come across the men,s section it,s obvious and have a good look at the selection most of these sights are run by women and they are activily supporting us men i would imagine the girls that are in their late teens would,nt even bat an eyelid.
