Postby TheBankGirl on Fri Jan 23, 2004 12:06 pm

We have been having a arguement in work that the best place to meet a man is in work. I myself could thing of any worse place personally, but whats everyone elses experience? and where did you find your perfect mate?

Well my other half was a regular in the pub where my best friend worked. As me and her used to pop down there quite regularly he saw me down there with her, so the next time she was working behind the bar he asked who i was and if i was single, etc. After that she pointed him out to me and i went over and introduced myself and as they say the rest is history and we are both now regulars down the pub.

That's how I reckon most relationships start but the girls here say work is more 'productive' if thats the word. I just don't see that being that case. Is that the case fo you in your place lisa?

All the men that work in my office and that is only three are all much older than me, good 25 years older. And are dirty old perverts always trying to sneak a look up your skirt or down your top. Most of them are near retirement so once they have retired we may get some fit young men in, but i wouldn't have a relationship with them. If it all goes wrong you have still got to work with them. Half the good of going to work other than to earn money is to get away from your other half, can't live in each others pockets all day drive each other mad.

Thats what I am saying I used to work with a couple who worked together and the women lasted just one month and had to get a new job, As it was driving them around the bend! Can't really understand the girls points, as I work for a large company with is 60-40 men women have 1 night stands but nothing really comes to them after that.

I met my ex-boyfriend at work but it never worked out, not because of work pressure but mainly because he was a t*ssser!

I have mainly met people through friends of friends, or out in a pub environment. Night clubs NO!.

It would be a total nightmare having to see someone everyday that you had slept with. It is bad enough bumping into them at the supermarket but everyday at work, couldn't cope with that.

I definitly think it is better to meet someone away from work.

I think you are right but I bet it happens more than we think or even know about!

Although I bet having it away with the boss would certainly improve chance of a promotion! Then again mine stinks of wee all the time...
