Hi all

Has anyone else had this happen?e

I miscarried at 6 weeks on 16th Jan, and went for a scan on 22nd which showed all ckear - also had the blood test to rule out ectopic, which also came back all clear.

Last Sunday I took a test (for no apparent reason) which was positive, so then took another two through the week (as you do) and they were all pos too. I had taken one the week before which was negative.
y
I went to the docs on Wed to tell him- he was shocked, but with all the info I gave him, he said theres no reason I can't be pregnant. Just to be sure, I gave a sample on Thurs morning so waiting for the test result on Monday!

The doc made me wonder then though if I am pregnant or if it could be something else??

Even though he said it's probably right, he couldn't get his head round the dates, and said I must be very fertile!!!

When I miscarried a few years ago I went in about a week after I started bleeding (I didn't know I was even pregnant before I started to bleed) and the pregnancy tests were coming back positive so fast that they thought that maybe I had been pregnant with twins (they run in my family) and had only lost one. There was a mad rush to get me through all sorts of tests and ultrasounds to make sure that wasn't the case. It wasn't but my point is are they sure that you didn't have twins and lose just one of them? With your negative test in between I doubt that would be the case but just something to think about.

My situation leading up to the miscarriage was that I was breastfeeding my daughter and hadn't had a period for 18months after she was born. I got pregnant with out having had a period for 27months (pregnancy + 18 months of nursing) lol.

Wow!! 18 months withou a period!!

Anyway, I don't think it could have been twins, as I had a scan after the m/c which showed all clear- my womb was empty and closed.

Waiting for my "formal" test result to come back today from docs.

Rang pregnancy support unit this morning and I have to ring tomorrow to get booked in for an early scan, so will keep posted.

Thanks for the reply xx Very Happy

I was just wondering how things were going for you kittikatzupp. I also had a miscarriage on March 11 at six weeks; a u/a at the doctors yesterday came back positive. I just can't believe I am already pregnant or that I will be able to make it through the first trimester. I'm coming up on my sixth week again (3 wks gest.) and I can't hardly stand the worry.
