Heyas.

Ok so I have darkish brown hair naturally and I recently dyed it blonde - like platinum blonde the lairy one =P - and it went a weird gingery colour.

I knew that was gunna happen I'm just wondering how long I should wait to dye it blonde properly again, and should I use the same bleach to make the ginger blonde or should I use a pre-lightener.

cheers dears x

Alright, So I dyed my hair purple ages ago, and then it faded to this darkish red colour. I then wanted to dye my hair blonde. It went orange, so every weekend I dyed it blonde for about 7 weekends and it kept getting oranger. I ended up dying it dark again.

I now want blonde again but it has gone to that redish colour, so I don't want to put blonde straight in.
Help?

. wrote:TRUST ME IT IS ACTUALLY FAIRLY SIMPLE.
I DYED ONLY THE BOTTOM LONG STRANDS OF MY HAIR WHICH I HAD PREVIOUSLY DYED NIGHT BEFORE DARK BROWN TO BLONDE SO EASILY!
I WAS SICK OF THE LONG BITS BEING DARK SO I USED A PRE LIGHTENER HIGHLIGHTER AND LEFT IT ON FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS. I THEN DYED ON TOP WITH NORMAL BLONDE DYE FOR AN HOUR.
AND IT WAS A LOVELY BLONDE.

!!! AM GONNA TRY THIS ON MY ENTIRE HAIR NOW :D

Dye out of bottles only lasts an hour so you shouldn't leave it on for two hours. It will only dry your hair out more.

Because someone told me if i got it stripped at the hairdressers it would be patchy and i wouldnt be able to dye over it until about a week later and I heard that bleach damages your hair so i really dont know what to do. I NEED HELP!!

Postby Sammiex13xx on Mon Mar 10, 2008 12:40 am

Okay, I have had black, red & blonde streaks in the top half of my hair. And Black on bottom half. I last night let my friend dye the top half blonde cause i wanted it really bright & light like the girls who have half blonde & black hair. I ended up with orange colors & my roots(which are light brown) werent dyed right & I have spots that were missed & the black turned to reddish & some red stayed. What the hell do I do?!? I look so bad. I need the freaky hair to be light blonde without damaging it. How is that possible!? I just dyed it last night, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

my advice is go to a hairdresser
(with mine it wasn't too bad cause i just put a bright pink over it and it stuck ok but that orange is NOT something you wanna get!

Hello , Right ... When I decided to dye me hair brown I really hated it and wanted to go back blonde right away , So Then was I done this was ... I started off by washing my hair with Fairy ( washing up liquid)as it helps strip the brown in your hair , but you must condition your hair well after eg ( leave conditioner in your hair for a few hours , After a week or so , you will start to see a difference .. when you do get ..... 30 vol peroxide and white peroxide powder and that will do the trick , I would reccommend a hair dressed does it though , good luck

Dyeing from Black/Brown to Blonde.

Postby lou. on Sat Mar 22, 2008 12:55 am

Okay guys chill i can help.
i had naturally blonde hair, and then i went dark brown.
but then i went black blue :O! lol.
and then i wanted too go back too blonde cause it was too dark, and it was fine, no need too strip it or anything.
i bought a Pan'ten or however you spell it, blonde pack, and i just left it in for an hour instead of half an hour, and really massarged the head too emulsify the colour.
when you die your hair blonde from black or brown the effects are actually much better..
apart from the colour fades quicker, but you can just buy the touch up packs for your roots.. which only cost like £1.
so dont worry:D. Happy Dyeing xo.

i bleached part of my bangs, but they are a yellow color instead of the blonde color i want. can i use a ash blonde hair dye over the bleach or should i just re-bleach until i get them to be a white?

Blonde hair

Postby Natashaaaa on Sun Apr 13, 2008 12:42 am

Ok, so i naturally have blonde hair. But at one point i craved for dark hair, so i dyed it a reddy brown colour I liked it. Till i got bored of it. I waited about 4-6 weeks, and then put a light brown on it. I wasn't satisfied with the colour, so about 5 weeks later, I put on another hair dye but it was dark brown. My hair was more black than brown. I loved having dark hair, but then I wanted my blonde hair back, as people said I looked better. So i waited 6 weeks, and then I bleached my hair. It came out luminous orange, there was hardly any blonde there, I cried. The next morning my mum went to the shop and brought me another hair dye, It was a "Dark Ash Blonde" I put this on and it took out the orange, and the yellow, and left me with a reddy/blonde look. I've recently had highlights in, and its been 5 weeks since I had them, I'm thinking about getting more. NEVER DYE YOUR HAIR DARK BROWN IF YOUR NATURALY BLONDE! YOU WILL REGRET IT! & you also look extremly pale.

I know its cheap, but ive attempted to get my hair from dark brown to platinum blonde at home and it doesnt work. It goes orange.
Go to a hair dressers and get highlights, then more highlights then more, or if you must do this at home.
Save up, itll be worth it.
