FFF Caroline said it best. Every day of our lives.. or more. If you are honest, these words cost nothing and are priceless and so precious. We now have a bit of a contest to she who can say it first in the morning, or upon returning home after work. After 33 years, words such as this reaffirm our relationship together and bridge the tough spots which happen from time to time.
Mean it before you ever say it, but these are the best three words in any language. |

Everytime I would say those three little words to my ex, she would always say, "I love you more".
Used to drive me nuts. |

Im not a fan of the words if they're said too much but the way you describe your relationship after 33 years sounds lovely |

In a bad way. It always felt as if it was being suggested that our love was not equal. Very annoying. |

It's how you say it - not how many times.
You should always mean it when you say it... |

| Its not that way for me. I dont care how lovingly its said, to be told all the time would make me feel really stiffled - its just too much and totally unneccesary (for me). I know by bieng around my partner how loved i am. |

I say it gawd knows how many times a day. I probably annoy my boyfriend by telling him all the time, but he's so gorgeous I can't help it.
We make sure the last thing we say (with the lights on and looking at eachother) before we goto sleep is I love you. Whenever we speak on the phone we tell eachother we love eachother. Whenever we leave the house seperately we tell eachother. In texts. Whenever we feel like it.
He's lovely |

I like to say it when my family least expects it. Like during an argument, or putting dinner on the table.
I played a game with my son when he was little. I said "Do I love you when I'm grumpy?" and he answered, No. I was really upset. I explained how I ALWAYS love him. Whether I'm angry, or he's having a tantrum, or it's Tuesday!
Now I make sure I tell them often and especially at the times I/they are at our most unloveable. |

Saying I love you is important...to us anyway!
My hubby and I have been together for 10 years and we say it everyday...even when we fall out..if we dont i worry!
I tell my kids i love them everyday too as i see this as a way to reinforce that saying how you feel isnt a bad thing!I want my kids to be comfortable with their feelings so this is a great way to share!
LOVE YOU ALL!!! |

I say I love you every day to my boyfriend and he tells me all the time. Even though we know how the other feels, it's nice to hear it. |

Sugar&Spice,
I have followed some of your postings which are both nice and sensuous at the same time. Thanks |

| Same here, my bf (of 9 months today!) told me in the summer that he had fallen in love with me, which was so lovely and i said it back, but he hasn't said it since. This doesn't bother me that much because i know he's the kind of guy who has trouble vocalising his feelings, he had enough trouble saying it that once, so i know that he thinks that he's said it once and i know how he feels so he doesn't need to keep saying it. We show it in our gestures, you know holding each other intimately and taking care of each other when we're ill etc. I guess it's just whatever works for you... |
Could have been describing me and toyboy there! I would like to hear it more but my ex used to say it all the time and it was just a reassurance thing for him. If I didnt tell him I loved him all the time he thought I had the arse with him. I tell my kids and my bestest girl friend all the time but me and toyboy are more gestures. But it would be nice every now and again! |
