Need some advice on veils...
The dress ive picked is absolutly gorgeous, sort of grecian looking and strapless. I really would like to complete the look with just fresh flowers and long hair with a forehead tiara and no veil...but I am getting married in a Church and some older members of the family have said I should wear a veil to cover my shoulders in church. I know this is oldfashioned and nowdays churches dont mind, but i was wondering what anyone else thought? Please help!

From a fashion standpoint, a veil is an accessory. Veils are available in many lengths. The veil should accentuate what you are wearing. It should not overpower your dress nor cover up beading on the back of the dress. You may have to do more searching to find a veil you like, or make your own veil. Not wearing a veil is fine too.

From a traditional standpoint, the veil shields the bride from enticing all unwanted suitors, protecting her purity until she is married. It symbolises purity and the honour of the family, and because of the association with purity, a blusher veil should never be worn by a bride who is obviously pregnant.

How you choose to dress for your wedding will establish its formality and style for your guests. You have more familiarly of your wedding guests than me. It is up to you to decide what you wish to emphasis and convey to them.
