I don't think men not wearing ties is such a breakthrough, I want to see guys in denim skirts as a breakthrough. My partner wears his sometimes when we go out, but he still looks manly...

I'm all for men wearing skirts. As Quatinus said, people used to disapprove of women wearing trousers, and now look. Trousers and jeans have been popular with women for decades, and they're made in all sorts of styles, some in what's traditionally "manly" (e.g. denim jeans), some in what's traditionally "girly" (e.g. pink or with a floral motif).

So why not skirts for men? If you're reluctant to give up what's traditionally "manly", you could wear a jeans skirt, made of "manly" denim, with "manly" features such as pockets and a fly. Wear one with a "manly" belt.
I love flared skirts, flowing skirts, flounced skirts, even tight skirts, but always long skirts.

Men need an alternative from shorts and trousers...

Never catch on.

Men like showing off their arses in tight jeans to the ladies.

(or on Planet Gay, to the gentlemen  )

Alf,
Let's face it, you really love the fashion freedom lobby. Without us, you would just have to criticise the humble politicians. They change every 5 years - We don't.
When you are old enough to vote, perhaps we will get a break.
Best Regards from Colin - Have fun.

What do you reckon, KiltyCol? Perhaps he secretly wants to wear women's clothes but he doesn't have the balls to come out and admit it.

I like my skirtds

Postby RandyK on Wed Apr 16, 2008 2:09 am

I don't care what anyone says. I'm a guy and I like wearing skirts. I have denim skirts in lengths from mini to ankle. I have pleated mini skirts, basic black pencil skirts and plaid "school girl" skirts.
Before you ask, yes I shave my legs and wear nylon and heels too!

for once, Alf, I'll side with you on this one. KiltyCol and his mates @ skirt-cafe are trying to force all men to dress like him for some strange reason.
I prefer jeans myself, my girl loves me in a good pair of levis, she says I look sexy. Not sure she'd say the same about me if I wore a skirt like Randy. U must be in a very isolated part of the US, with no friends, kind of like people from Worcestershire (no offence KiltyCol) :upyours:

I just thought I'd tease the pervs and go along with their 'advocacy' on this 'trend'. If fashion designers were to make skirts for men and sell them in shops, how many guys would buy them? Remember the sarongs in Burton a few years back?! :laff: they were flying off the shelves, weren't they? :nanana: :withstupid:

The SkirtCafe people are just seeking freedom of choice and equality for men. We have no intention of forcing anyone to follow our choices, but just enabling them to have true freedom of choice.
It is the old "stick in the muds" that want to force men to wear only trousers and ladies to wear only skirts. That is not freedom! Ladies have broken the mould and wear trousers without worrying whether people think that they are wierd, so why shouldn't men have the same freedom of choice too?
Best Regards from Colin - Have fun.
