I think you might be right about the position of the crotch - I've never had the confidence to try women's jeans.
It's that bum hugging look I'd love to have -
My main problem is a short length of leg - no matter what style I choose still sweeps the floor. |

It's that bum hugging look I'd love to have - ...If you have no bum to speak of (and most men don't), the net effect is more comfort for one's cojones than one generally finds with men's jeans (and no "bum-hugging" effect--actually they end up being a bit baggy back there--because there is more cloth to cover what should be there (if you was a girl) but isn't), and other than the fact that they hug the leg above the knees more than is typical of guy's jeans, and have a shorter fly (so they truly do hug the hip, instead of sag down to the hip)--there really isn't much difference in how they look on the typical guy from how guy's jeans look. They just feel better. And there's no other way to describe it to someone who has never found the cojones to give them a try.
My main problem is a short length of leg - no matter what style I choose still sweeps the floor. If your mom never taught you how to use a sewing machine, or needle and thread, or if you haven't got a gf to hem them up for you, or don't have the "bread" to hire a seamstress or tailor to do it for you, 5 or 6 safety pins for each leg will hem them up quite nicely, thank you, unless you are a fastidious f**ker, in the which case there's no hope. : |

I've been looking around lately at women's jeans. I even made an _ purchase for some low rise skinny but they ride to far down on my ass. Has anyone else had this issue?
I was going to buy some mid rise skinny, but they don't seem to exist? Any suggestions? |

Has anyone tried having custom made jeans? There are a number of companies around (such as indi jeans, mejeans, jean machine (uk) etc) which take measurements such as length from the front and rear waistbands to the crotch seam, inside leg, outside leg etc.
This should allow for a nice bum hugging pair to be made no? |

Depends on whether they use a man's sloper (master pattern) or a woman's.
The only real way is to do it yourself (have done, btw--very time consuming, especially if you include the trial and error, mostly error), or go to an oriental pattern drafting seamstress trained in the traditional methods of laying out a pattern, in the which case you are guaranteed to have the finest fitting jeans on the planet. Unfortunately, they are hard to find, these days, even in the orient. I would assume that they are not cheap, anymore, either. |

i have a couple of lowrise womens jeans and i do find them a bit uncomfortable as they ride too low... then i landed up picking up some midrise womens jeans and they fit really well. (they also look great as they fit nicely on the thighs and also around my butt.. i not only find them comfy but also very sexy:) they are not an immidiate give away that they are girl jeans but are on the verge of revealing that they are |

Having posted in this thread a couple of times, I thought I would post my experience today.
I plucked up the courage to go to the Levis shop in Regent Street. I own no ladies clothing at all except for panties which I wear all the time. I have never done anything like this before, and normally buy my knickers on the web.
All the mens jeans are upstairs; womens are downstairs.
I went downstairs, and explained to an assistant (female) that I wanted to buy a pair of ladies jeans as I preferred the fit of them over the seat, but I did not want the legs to to be effeminate. She pulled out 3 different styles, and took me to the ladies changing rooms to try them on. She checked how each lookded, and got different sizes as required. She also grabbed a couple of pairs of mens jeans as she thought they might replicate the look I was after. She actually preferred those on me, but felt the ladies jeans were good too.
I am now the proud owner of a pair of Ladies Levi 570 straight cut jeans with a beautifully snug fit over my bum.
The assistant was really helpful, although she did crack a smile a few times. I think she thought the situation was amusing, but did not make me any more embarrassed than I was already feeling (very ). The jeans have even been passed by my wife when I got home - whilst she tolerates the panties, anything else even vaguely femme would be a big no-no... |

| I don't normally wear jeans as I don't find them comfortable. I do respect the freedom of those who wish to wear them though. I prefer a denim kilt as it is more comfortable and some say it is more masculine. |

| I love wearing girls designer jeans. Especially True Religion, Seven for all Mankind, Joes. I just fell sexy in girls jeans. I'm not gay, but I love designer jeans. I love wearing them and I love looking at girls in them too. |

Alf, I've never liked to wear jeans - Men's jeans are somehow feminine, so I don't know what womens jeans are like. Is there a difference? |
