At 14 years of age, I'd hope she would have the intellegence/moral fibre to appreciate that flushing an infant down the toilet is not only immoral, but down right cruel. Sex makes babies. Most people can grasp that basic principle by 14. If you don't want a baby, don't have unprotected sex. If you do, please face up to the consequences and avoid flushing live babies down the toilet. Yeah, she was probaly scared and acted in the heat of the moment. The same could be said of most crimes...

The murder was premeditated: it was not accidental, and she had not previously been diagnosed with any mental illness.

You condemn as murderers the parents who didn't take their sick child to the doctor and prayed instead, but you make excuses for a mother who intentionally flushed her infant down the toilet. |

If that baby was alive when it was born, then it is murder, yes. But what if it were stillborn?
I would condemn anyone who kills a helpless baby, but we are not to know what this child was thinking at the time, and we cannot judge her on her actions alone. |

but still it isnt right that she killed the infant.
and yes she should have atleast took a pregnancy test after sexual contact.
