We would like to ask your female readers:

Have you recently been diagnosed and treated for ovarian cancer? Would you
like to share your cancer journey?

Ovarian cancer action will be conducting a one-day patient focus group in
central London in July, to listen to women's views of using health services
from GP to specialist care.

We are looking for women from all parts of the country and from all walks of
life who have completed treatment within the last 12 months.

By taking part you will help us further our understanding of what currently
works well, and what needs improving for the 7000 women diagnosed every year
with ovarian cancer in the UK, and help Ovarian cancer action campaign for
the future.
We'll pay you £50 for taking part, and help with your travel costs.

Thank you for helping Ovarian cancer action improve the lives of women with
ovarian cancer.

If you would like to find out more about getting involved please contact
Philippa Carr, pcarr@ovarian.org.uk, or call 08456 888443

Sorry if this is bang out of order, have not got anything to say on this particular topic, but please could you make either the long thing i posted on the troubles of anorexia or some other document on the topic a 'sticky' on the forum board because there are so many people who come here unaware of the risks some of them even younger than me and its ruined my life and i think we should try and help stop it ruining others.

again sorry if this is uncalled for. x-

I totaly agree with you on that one,I have seen so many post of young girls who come on here and ask for help to be anorexic or bulimic because they want to slim down to be a size zero.

As a former sufferer from anorexia I find it quite upsetting to read this kind of post of young girls not even older than 12 years old and I think so many other people who are still suffering from a eating disorder who are trying to get help to over come and recover from eating disorders might find it quite very upsetting to read such post.

I don't think that this young girls who come in here have any idea it is to have a eating disorder and that they can die from it.

Our voting system has been compromised. Just took a look at your link and even though I think ipods but real votes on paper in a system where everything can be checked through every link can raise question about the process I really dont think that story has much meat on it.

Ovarian cancer is a cancerous mass or tumor on the ovaries. and yes, you should be concerned because it can very well affect your health and your decisions of having children in the future. If severe enough, they may have to perform a hysterectomy .

Ovarian cancer is one of the most dangerous of all types of cancer. Of course it depends on the stage when it is detected. But the problem is that it is usually detected too late as the symptoms are well hidden or for some time not taken seriously (as they don't seem to be serious at the beginning!). Only a small percentage survive for more than 5 years after the diagnosis. The chances are much worse than for breast cancer.
