Did anyone else get caught in the snow tonight?
I wore my usual stilettos to work as it was fine this morning. By home time it was quite white. I slipped and skidded all over the place getting home.
I didn't fall thank goodness but there were a few close calls.

Hey, pretty much the same thing happened to me too! I went to work in a pair of black stilettos which to be honest, are pretty slippy anyway at the best of times and on my walk home, I was just slipping everywhere! The bottoms are really smooth and shiney and were just impossibly slippy on the snow! I slipped over a couple of times but nothing too bad!

What were your shoes like on the snow, what were the bottoms like?

Yes me too. My stilettos were really slippy in the snow last week and even the last couple of mornings with heavy frost on the ground my work heels can't seem to grip well. I've been slipping and sliding too. My work shoes obviously don't like any frost or icy patches.

I've been slipping and sliding in my heels on the frost the last couple of days as well. I slipped so much at one point, I couldn't climb a little slope and my smooth-soled stilettos just kept slipping backwards!! Was a little embarrassing at the time but also pretty funny too! What were the soles of your shoes like?

The pair I have on today are 4" heeled Faith courts with synthetic soles that are totally smooth and shiny. I wore them to work the other day too and they are really slippery in the wintry weather. I had the same as you wheb I tried to climb a slope on my way to work, I kept losing my footing time after time. Did someone help you up the slope in the end?

Hi, Faith are my favourite brand of shoes and I wear them loads and like yours, all of mine have very shiny slippery smooth soles!! I managed to get up the slope by holding onto a wall and slipping like crazy with my stilettos just sliding backwards all the time! Quite tiring but good fun at the same time! Did anyone help you climb your slope? x x

mmm! I LOVE Faith shoes too. They are very slippy soled tho! I know what you mean about it being tiring. My heels ususally cause me a bit of pain (gotta suffer to be beautiful tho hey) but with all the slipping and slithering they made my feet hurt more than normal too - ouch.

I managed to get up the slope ok. On the flat it was slippery but manageable, on the slopes it was treacherous and there were a few places where I found my shoes slipped suddenly but after a bit of skidding they found a grip again and I slithered on.

I think some of my pricier heels with all leather soles are even slippier, glad I didn't have those on one the ice - a certain sprained ankle I think and probably a broken (expensive) heel too.

xx

Yeah leather soles can be treacherous on the ice as I've discovered a number of times! I'm glad you managed on the slope tho! Do you have an MSN Messenger address because I'd love to chat with you about our shoes!! xxxx

Hi,great stories ,I love wearing and slipping in my heels too.One time I went shopping in my fav sandals, with 5" heels and smooth soles. In the super market my shoes slip pushing the trolley on the hard ,polished floor and this day I stepped into some spilt cooking oil.The wickedly slippery oil quickly coated my soles & heels and the tolley ground to a halt.Any attempt to move my trolley resulted in totally helpless slipping. No matter what i tried,i could not escape my slippery trap..........

Hi everyone, I've found the cure!!! We can all wear our stilletto's and not fall a*** over t** as my husband would say!! I've got these fab things called Heartstoppers you put on the bottom of your shoes and they stop you slipping. There dead cute too, red hearts that really work. We've got this really slipply floor at work in reception and everytime I walked across it I always skidded a bit, but this one time one of the bosses (gorgeous too) was walking across the other way, he lent out to catch me, I completely lost my balance managing to just grap hold of his tie nearly strangling him. I could of died!, it was the most embarrassing day of my life!! hence that was the reason I had to find a solution!! I was'nt giving up my stiletto boots!! I got mine _ from www.prettypinktoes.co.uk

Hi Slipygal, it was me that mentioned polishing the soles earlier on in this thread! It's something I do to all of my smooth-soled heels to make then even slippier than they already are! Smile You're soooo right about it being arousing too!! What's your slippiest pair of heels?

My emails is jo_uk77@hotmail.com if you fancy chatting about slippy heels, I'd love to hear from you!
