just a thought - this thread seems to be concentrating on britain v america and on the quantity of firepower and equipment possessed by each. what about china and their sheer weight of numbers?

You are still being a childish little monkey tossing its poopies at the humans...

One day all your tossed little poopies will all come back to you ll at once you fool, when you are seriously ill, and it will kill you... You are not hurting anyone but yourself... I just can't wake you to any reality... I bet if I picked you up by the ankles, and swung you around fast, bashing your head against trees for a whole day, you still would'nt clue-in... Are you about ten years old..? Do you still get breastfed..? Does mummy still take you everywhere she goes..? Do you tantrum a lot when things aren't going your way..? Do you like to kill little things..? Does it give you a sickly little salty rush inside..?

You are like the starling I watched jumping from branch to branch in a huge maple tree, in Ontario, in its following a fat old lady who was walking along the sidewalk under that tree's branches.. the bird trying to position itself just ahead and above her... The moment she was under the bird it bird released its poop, but missed her by only a few inches...
I had a pointy dart in my hand, and threw it at the bird.. and it stuck in, but fell out when the bird took flight... You are that starling... I've changed your handle to "birdiepoop bushnut"...

Since myron was so smug in asserting that "Britain doesn't have enough money to built it's new carriers" and that I was "lying" and "talking crap"...

I thought I'd show you confirmation that just a few days ago the government has issued the final order to go ahead for the new carriers at a cost of 3.9 Billion each.

Just some of Britain’s recent military orders:

- 2 brand new super carriers, the most advanced in the world,
- 6 Type 45 stealth destroyers HMS Daring Class (with the possible addition of 2 more later)
- 4 brand new fast attack HMS Astute Class submarines (perhaps more later)
- Replacing our nuclear arsenal
- 232 Eurofighter Typhoons (fighter aircraft),
- 138 F-35 Lightning II fighters.

Britain can more than afford it! I might post a more detailed list when I'm not so tired. If it is of interest.

I know what myron will quote now – and I’ll let him, because then I’ll laugh at him really good.

The planned little British carriers will not be supercarriers, will not be nuclear-powered, definitely will not be "the most advanced in the world" and will not built for another 10 years.

When will the rest of the "recent military orders" be delivered and deployed?

Whaddaya got right now?

Okay, let’s see if we can get some objectivity out of myron. ”Supercarriers”…define a supercarrier. It is not, by chance, your country’s version of an aircraft carrier, is it? Just so we know, you’re not patting yourself on the back, are you?

“The most advanced in the world”…so what exactly does “advanced” mean? British carriers are actually designed around the Harrier jet, an ASTOL concept. It is a concept far advanced to the US. It combines aerial combat with maneuverability in support of field troops. The US is finding out in Iraq that the F-18 Hornet and the F/A-22 Raptor are limited in that they can only bomb the S*** out of everything, but what does that get you? The Harrier gets you support for ground troops, which means you capture. Didn’t think of that, did you myron?

No, I didn't think of that -- because it's all ignorant bullshit. :withstupid:
