Removing Hair Extensions/"Great Lengths"

Perseverance is the answer to the removal of hair extensions!!

Have you tried the orange oil, acetone, you could try one or the other of these.

My stylist who attached them told me to try washing my hair and letting it soak with Head and Shoulders shampoo will begin to dissolve the polymer bonds. It's worth a try - it sounds nicer than alcohol and pliers at least.

i used to have gl extensions and found them the best that ive ever had! i never lost one bond,had no shedding and my own hair wasnt damaged at all when i had them removed after 6mths (i had regular maintenence inbetween time) my hair was in better condition than before i had them in!
yes the glue is rock hard but this to me was a big plus as i could wash my hair everyday,didnt matter if conditoner went on the bonds,went swimming in sea,could go to bed without tiying my hair back the list goes on,it was like my own hair in every respect!

when i had them removed with the gl bond remover they just slid out,you have to remember with this brand you have to use there product or you wont get them out without loads of agg and maybe bald spots!!
the only problem with gl is that unless you have done there extension course you cant buy there products hence why salons can charge loads for extensions with gl.
if the price tag wasnt so offensive id still have them now but im afraid its back to fusion and hairy socks through shedding!!!
looking into cinderella extensions as they will sell to jo public and are suposed to be as good as gl,but again get there remover!!

I HAVE GLUE HAIR EXTENSIONS... CAN'T GET IN TOUCH WITH HAIR DRESSER AND AM DESPERATE TO REMOVE THEM.......WHAT PRODUCTS CAN I USE........

heyy omg well i have those extensions too i thought they were so cool at first and then like 2 weeks later i started to get knots i was so tired of them and the best thing is vinegar and then wash your hair with dishsoap so the smell can come out and then with your regular shampoo and conditioner !!

I have read through these problems and I am horrified. Extensions cost a lot of money and well applied (using any system) they should do the job.
Unfortunately there are too many people out there with no idea except how to rip people off. It is too late for most of these people BUT always got to a salon so you have recourse under the law and always find out exactly what they are doing.

Clearly some people are using the wrong materials for the glue. The right stuff is easily removed and you shouldn't get any tangles or hair damage. I am a supplier of hair to the trade. I do not supply any of the companies mentioned but have years of experience with hair extensions in the US and UK
