I had to wear nappies, ie terry nappies and plastic pants until I was about 10, mostly for bed but also when travelling, as I was having accidents.
It was my aunt and uncles idea at first and I wasn't too sure of it, especially when they put the first one on.
But i soon got used to it and had no leakage problems.
Now adays I use disposables, mainly pull up pants and have found the own brands to be the best.
I wear them mainly at night and travelling though sometimes wear them when out, it's not so much incontinence today I guess, more unexpected, especially after an operation several years ago.
Several friends know about this and some have seen me in them, not to sure what they think but everything seems ok.

I started wearing towelling nappies and plastic pants at night when I was 20 and have worn them ever since (Im now 37). I love the feeling of security knowing that I can wet myself in bed and during the day without having to go to the toilet. I have had two girlfriends who went along with this and even were prepared to change my nappy in the mornings but other girlfriends have been totally turned off and didn't want to know.

I also enjoy dressing completely as a baby girl and sleep in a baby doll nightie sucking a dummy and cuddling one of my fluffy toys or dolls. It relaxes me after a hard day at the office.

I have had to wear a nappy and plastic pants for five years since an operation left me with hardly any bladder control. I am lucky as I work from home and my wife changes me in the mornings and evenings and just before going to bed. I really enjoy this. Sometimes I have accidents at the other end and poo in my nappy but luckily this doesn’t happen too often as it smells when it does. I find that wearing well fitting thick plastic pants over a nappy not only stops any leaks but also the smell of urine.

I hated wearing a nappy at first but I now find it very comforting which is just as well as I will have to wear one for the rest of my life.

Only because it would clash with your own nappy. Laughing

It all depends whether they are worn for pleasure or necessity!

My partner had an operation on his penis in Feb 2006 which should have been routine. However, it didn't heal as it should and left him with nerve damage which affects his bladder control. The doctor said the damage should get better eventually but to date there has been little improvement. Basically, my partner leaks. In the daytime he can largely control it and Tena pants provide sufficient protection. At night, however, it is a different story. If he goes into a deep sleep, which he usually does, he can wet himself quite a bit. Consequently, about 18 months ago, mainly because I got fed up with washing the sheets, he went into adult nappies and plastic pants for night time and has been in them ever since. I can't say they do anything for me but he undoubtedly needs them and they do save me a lot of laundry because he uses disposables.

This may sound weird,

I was browsing the net and found a site that sold Adult size terry towelling nappies !! (bigger and thicker version of the baby product) as well as plastic pants. Wouldn't someone having bladder problems be using tena lady ? Wouldn't you look a baby to your partner if you were wearing a towelling nappy with safety pins with your pj's ?

Fun! Laughing That's actually a little sweet. Very Happy

Very Happy i wear nappies night and day and im 31 years old, i find them very comfortable, i would love to have cloth nappies to use instead i would use them day and night it would certainly keep costs down, i enjoy being in nappies....

Around 5 years ago (when I was 20) to my horror and embarrassment, I became incontinent. It began with bedwetting, something I'd never done before, even as a child, and then progressed to daytime wetting as well. It wasn't long before I was barely able to control my bladder at all; if I could, it was only for a few minutes, and my knickers were almost permanently wet.

My mother, who has suffered incontinence and worn protection herself in the past, suggested that I wear a nappy until the problem cleared up. As she pointed out, it was easier to wash plastic pants and nappies than bedding, or clear up puddles of wee from all over the house. With some reluctance, I decided that she was right, and did so. My boyfriend (now my husband), who had understandably not been too pleased about being weed on during the night, was in total agreement.

After many visits to the doctor, and various specialists, it was finally discovered that I had a polyp in my urethra at the bladder neck, which was preventing a proper seal, and so causing my incontinence. An operation eventually corrected the problem.

But, silly as it may sound, even when I regained full continence, I really did miss the comfort and sense of security that wearing a nappy had given me. I found that I actually wanted to wear one sometimes, not, I stress, for any sexual reasons - it didn't "turn me on" - it was simply a matter of convenience, so to speak.

And so, secretly at first, I began to indulge myself. When I was alone at home, or perhaps when I went out for the day shopping, even a couple of occasions when I had to drive a long distance, I would wear a nappy. I didn't have to worry about stopping what I was doing to go to the loo, or find a public toilet (some of which I think can be pretty disgusting), or struggle to avoid wetting myself if stuck in traffic or something.

Of course, eventually my "secret" was discovered; my husband came home unexpectedly one day when I was not working to find me in a nappy; I didn't get the opportunity to remove it before he noticed it. When he asked me why I was wearing it, I broke down in tears and confessed all. I could, I suppose, have told him that I was having accidents again, but I didn't - why, I'm not sure, but I had the feeling that he wouldn't have believed me. I fully expected him to walk out on me in disgust, but to my complete surprise he said that if that was what I wanted to do, it was fine by him.

So now I wear a nappy whenever I feel like doing so. I often wear one in bed, when I am going to be out of the house for more than a couple of hours or so, or even sometimes when I simpy want to relax and not have to bother with using a toilet. OK, I'm wierd, and I don't expect most people to understand, but I'm happy in my nappy!

I happily wear a terry nappy and plastics to bed. I started doing this recently after regularly finding stains on bed sheets which made me suspect that I am occasionally mildly incontinent during the night. I quite enjoy the warm feeling that the nappy provides and I do feel more secure from the suspected embarasing little leaks. Toilet

I decided on Terrys rather than disposibles as I work in social care and in these environments (both private individuals and residential care settings) a specialist contractor has to collect soiled pads / disposable nappies on a regular basis for incineration to prevent public health issues. At least with a terry it just goes in the wash with some detergent and sanitiser that is available for washing babies nappies. I never put them outside to dry though, that would be far to embarasing Embarassed

I notice in a few earlier posts people (mainly men) mention that their spouse / partner changes them. Party Smile

Why?

I have found that putting a nappy on myself is not a problem so wonder if this is due to disabilities or is this just for sexual gratification? Rolling Eyes Laughing Rolling Eyes
